Here are 2 models from my traitor guard






Please vote on them in the dakka gallery.

Those were painted now many months ago and I will be soon be adding more painted models to my army but I need to buy a airbrush for that (and my wallet was stolen so I have to get a new credit card...blahblah blah..... so I have to wait still by assembling more models).

BTW zoom into pictures in the dakka gallery when you can some people, like me, upload very big pictures that, when looked upon at first, look bad when small sized.

All comments, feedback and suggestions on the painting are welcome.

Very sweet looking weathering and battle damage. Also like the composite shots showing different angles!

i generally like it, especially the sentinels, although i think the yellow on the tanks are a little out of place

Even though you vary the color of the reds on the tanks, it is still noticeably flat, especially in the heavily detailed areas of the model. Maybe a wash or two?

That's the very point of it!
Its the 41st millenium and nothing makes sense, so mad worshippers of the dark gods paint stuff obvious instead of subtle.

That is a choice to keep it towards realism as even if a tank has small asperities the difference in shade is nearly not noticeable and it is surely isn't noticeable in 28mm scale, I am still not sure wether I prefer it like that or not so the next tanks will be getting a light wash and I'll see what I prefer for my tanks.

that sentinel is epic, and the Russ looks almost poisonous with those colors. The FW turret is a great addition, looks really good. The guns might look better with more metal, but I'm prejudiced that way. Well done!

Icon looks as if its from a 2nd/3rd edition CSM standard

Thank you, fluffwise the army was a guard regiment that after their planet was marked for exterminatus turned to chaos, therefore most soldiers retain their warfare knowledge.
But reinforcement was made harder by their heresy and the exterminatus of their homeworld therefore they do recruit pretty much anything. And as time goes by more soldiers fall into worshipping a specific chaos god. This will be represented in the army by adding zombies and nurgle worshippers and khorne worshippers and some bloodletters.

Thank you for all those compliments, I prefer my gun cleaner as it is unlikely shots will hit that part.

Wow, that is just plain dang cool! Especially love the colours on the 'Russ. Could easily get away with being a loyalist vehicle.

Remove the yellow color, it looks out of place and detracts from the substantial weathering on the rest of the model.

I think you were moving in the right direction with the Sentinels. Use the same method on the Tanks, put script and chaos symbols on it.
