Hey all, I wanted to share my latest creation where i combined my love of 40k with my love of pin-up art. I drew all of the outlines in Adobe Illustrator and I colored it in Photoshop. The colors of the armor are the same as my Tau Empire army.



As always, comments and critique are welcome!

I think the hand on the gun is a little to small, also you should have a symbol on the shirt

Really great job! Nice mix of the two styles - 4ok and pin up.

It makes me think - what would a space marine have pinned up on his wall?

I know the dark eldar would love to have a cultural exchange with her.

I am literally lost for words. Suffice it to say not my cup of tea. Unless done in a humorous way of course?

I think it's pretty funny, nice colouring too....The overall image just screams "My pocket rocket needs a socket"

Yeah I'd say it wasn't serious, just the OP combining 2 things they love into a project for themselves. Still, sometimes I get a little jaded at the whole 'grim-dark' aesthetic of 40k - so it's good to see things that are off-kilter, be they models or artwork like this.

Overall, tis' awesome.

Three minor suggestions:

Since the Tau are hoofed, and you are going for 1950's style pinup art, you might make the hooves a bit glossier, to suggest that she has nail polish on her hooves.

The hands are a bit small, and I would consider some painted nails there too.

The shirt looks a bit too much like an Imperial Guard tank top. I would suggest that it be a bit brighter (white, or off-white) and maybe incorporate a Tau symbol, as others have suggested.

However, it's great as is. It's fun and cheeky (pun intended).

Thanks everyone! It seems the hands are a bit small - I'll probably revisit those. The decal idea sounds like a sweet idea that i may have to try at some point.

I love it. I think it is great work as is, though the others suggestions are all good ideas as well. The only thing I would like to see is more of them. Some guard versions would be nice too. Maybe one for each race. Sisters of Battle eh?

If you made ones with a propaganda message, they would quickly find their way up on the walls at the FLGS, regardless of the race. I love those old WW2 propaganda posters with pinup girls on them.

A series of one for each race could be interesting xD

Nice work! It has a nice blend of cheeky humor and still that war reference that gives it a place. Would love to see more, especially in Decal form.
