So I took a nap mid day yesterday, and I couldn't sleep tonight and I have classes in the morning, besides coffee is their any other tip on staying awake.

I usually just drink coffee, beating yourself to keep you awake seems like a bad idea.

I think the biggest thing besides caffeine is to find something to do. If you occupy yourself, the time will pass more quickly, and before you know it, it will be time for your class. At least that's what works for me. Plus caffeine.

Than I need to find something to do besides reading, that's what I usually do when I need to occupy time, and reading would make my eyes tired. and painting my orkz isn't an option on campus, it's times like this I wish I had a gameboy.....

Make sure it's the biggest kid you know. Have him throw you out a 3 story window, or something.

Try some sort of Coffee drink, but not energy. Those things make you CRASH.

Ya I never drink energy drinks to stay awake, but I'll try the campus running

Swim. in really cold water. but never murky water (Zombies) use a pool, drink a ton of soda, if you do not have a bathroom in your dorm make sure a chamberpot is candy. cover it with a plank of wood.

Soda is a no no. It has a lot of sugar. You want a slow energy, like caffeine.

try something like water, very cold water. seltzer water works. I dislike the taste though.

I'm 16.....I am a kid

and me and my friend used to get a big bowl of water and dump ice cubes in it, than proceed to dunk our heads in. but I dont have a big bowl handy, and the ice maker is broken

what I do is RP in the Basement (Site by members of dakka) typing out a collaborative story is fun enough to keep me awake.

We are evolved to the point were we don't carry such things as
"ice trays" we have adapted into technology "whores" in a sense.

I always find staying awake easier after 6-8 hours of continuous, uninterrupted sleep.

You should try that.

Exercise, and get into a routine.

I get up at 0615 every day, I go to bed at 1015 every day, and I never ever need to take a nap, or have the urge to. I exercise between 1500-1700 each day and I've always got bags of energy, I don't start getting tired till about 2200 and I sleep great every night.

Basically its awesome being me.

I also liked to make mountains up the basement stairs (when I lived in the states) and attempted to scale them without sending the whole thing crashing down.
