List the things that you will only see in Warhammer 40k;
I'll start

Only In 40k, you will see Rambo(Marbo) fight alongside Space Vikings against Orcs and Space Elves

Only in 40k would genetically engineered super soldiers equippe with RPG submachine guns, power armor, tanks, starships, drop pods, supersonic assault dropships, long range energy weapons, missile launchers and artillery routinely (and often prefer to) engage in hand to hand combat.

Only in 40k would the force (IG) that has more artillery, tanks, heavy weapons, infantry, specialist troops, etc and the widest array of weapon variety than any other faction in the galaxy be seen as the underdog in almost every engagement (fluffwise).

Only in 40k would a race that has mastered travel between worlds in the blink of an eye and retain their souls after death in a magnificient living architecture field food soldiers in direct combat with races multiple orders of magnitude more numerous.

Only in 40k is the concept of air and space control, along with the power of heavy artillery, completely meaningless, allowing behemoth land battleships and the like to operate with impunity.

Only in 40k can a few dozen super soldiers equivalent to a few hundred or a few thousand mundane troops routinely directly engage millions of enemy soldiers and emerge victorious with near certainty.

Only in 40k do radios mean you simply communicate more certainly at normal shouting distances and do nothing for longer distances.

Only in 40k. Do tanks have fething KEEPS on top of them.

Only in 40k does the phrase "Interstellar Battleship" really mean "Interstellar Flying City."

Only in 40k are tanks powered by music. (See Witch Hunters codex)

Only in 40k do laser weapons become featured as the least powerful, most useless outside of bulk shots, weapon in the galaxy. (Ignoring lascannons and multi-lasers, of course...)

Only in 40k do lasers richochet off bunker walls.

Only in 40k do the put fortresses on top of walking engines of destruction.

Only in 40k can you be inches from a tank and still miss.

Only in 40k does the likelyhood of your victory in war depend on words written by British people who are dead 39000 years before your war takes place.

Only in 40k do the words 'Space Marine', 'Imperial Guard', 'Inquisition' and 'that guy over there' all mean 'Alpharius'.

Only in 40k can your enemy take down your tank with their bare hands!

Honestly I think this is in part thanks to the fluff being written before the gulf war. Desert Storm was the first time that Air Power truly invalidated the use of land forces.

I did my thesis on the First Gulf War. Air power didn't invalidate the Iraqi army, it just degraded it to the point where Coalition (read: US and UK) forces could monkeystomp them. There's a quote from an Iraqi battalion commander: "When I went into Kuwait I had 39 tanks, after six weeks of air bombardment, I had 32 left. After 20 minutes in action against the M1's, I had none."

Only in 40K will the timeline just stop, and stay there, while history gets rewritten to provide more storyline...

Only in 40k will you find players and fans of the fluff complain to the point of apoplectic seizures yet continue to voluntarily spend exhorbitant amounts of money on just that which, apparently, nearly kills them.

Only in 40k we have things that eat everything from tallest trees and biggest animals to smallest of bacteria.

Only in 40k we have race that shoot by ejaculating it's ammo.

Only in 40k do we have so bad-ass solders that noone in other Sci-Fi universe can even get close to them.

Only 40k is better then real life, and most of you will agree

I think its more of the fact that all parties in these wars have Air Support. Fighters and Bombers first concern is staying alive, so they focus on their counter parts.


Where there is Mutual Air support, Ground Forces can act with greater freedom. Far from impunity, but larger targets are more viable when there is Air Support.

Only in 40k can orks defy laws of physics to build flying machines.

Only in 40k are there giant mechanical death machines with large cannons strategically placed in the crotch area.
