True enough,

Only in 40k is the god of laughter also the god of slaughter. (Cegorach is far from a pushover when it comes to combat)

Only in 40k are a race living on gigantic ships made of bones in the dark vastness of space considered treehuggers.

Only in 40k do races get randomly granted attributes from races in completely different universes.

Only in 40k is the best use of a beloved leader of an entire race to send him into the middle of battle to make him die as fast as possible.

Only in 40k is there an up and down in space and sudden arbitrary gravity if a spaceship or space station takes sufficient damage.

Not only in 40k are there pressure waves in space.

Only in 40k alien race name it's every ship/vessel/tank/transport after Earth sea animals. That would be the humans naming the alien race's ships, since they don't know they are really called CCT-X54 or TR-ZE34.

Only in 40k we have things that eat everything from tallest trees and biggest animals to smallest of bacteria. The Zerg called. So did the terraformers from Alastair Reynold's universe.

Only in 40k we have race that shoot by ejaculating it's ammo. This is actually quite common for all bioweapons in fiction. The most common form being simply puking any given substance all over the heroes.

Only in 40k do we have so bad-ass solders that noone in other Sci-Fi universe can even get close to them. If by soldiers we mean "roughly man size having all the benefits of human rights" then I present to you Golem from Neal Asher's universe. If instead we mean "making up a substantial portion of the armed forces" then I don't know if Space Marine qualify, but Polity war drones certainly do and it'd take roughly one space marine chapter to bring a single one of those down. Between the Polity and IOM, the competition is as one sided as a battle between an anthill and an Ork with a Burna. The antihill being IOM.

Sorry, that last one has had my brain itching for such a long time now, had to get it out of my system.

I really need to stay away from the 40K forums.

I don't think they used Russian troops as mine cleaners but given the early treatment of their troops....

Only in Warhammer 40k can a army have so many different patterns of each and every item and yet never find issue with logistics.

Literally, Russian generals would send in the first wave specifically to provide cover for the second which would provide cover for the third. . . This applied to men and tanks.

Beliel gets killed just by flipping a buger on him.
Sammael doesn't have anyway to field him with his retinue and in the speeder no CC.
Ravenwing has no skilled rider.but yet they are the #1 bikers.
There is more but gotta go.

You never said anything about Codex update.

Belial isn't the point, it's the ability to take 21 Fearless TH/SS Terminators in a fully legal 1000pt list.

Sammael doesn't need a retinue. LS has F and S armour 14, and A TL Assault Cannon and Heavy Bolter. His Jetbike has a frikkin' Plasma Cannon strapped on it, and it's a Jetbike.

That's purely for balance. Fluff =/= Rules.

Never mentioned codex update.

Update is there yes but my BA and my buddies SW run circles around my DW, that's what I normally play is Deathwing. Anyhow I see it my way you, yours. I have played this army for some 18 years now and this is the worst I have seen it.. The ability to take other dread's and all the land raider variants will make up for it. The only thing I am really looking for is to upgrade our special characters to make them more in line with the other chapters.

Sorry didn't mean to start a debate just posting what my thoughts were and also it could be the next dex out according to some rumors. Here's hoping.

Oh yeah the TH/SS wall is nice but I would only ever use something like that to piss off a major pain gamer. The one that runs around saying my army is the best, no one can beat me mwa hahahah. Those ones, ya know.

Update. machine spirit BS-4 That was the nice thing as well as the storm shield being brought in line with the vanilla's.
