Thought it was time to finally log my Bad Moon Army.

They started off as a Gorka Morka Biker Gang, which never actually saw a game as by the time i'd finished converting them my mates had stopped playing!

When they released the new Killa Kans and Storm Boys i decided to turn them into a fully fledged army. I've been painting them on and off since about January alongside my other stuff, but never got round to starting a new log and didnt want a xenos infestation of my Helskan Imperial Guard log either. So now that i've only got these 7 guys left to complete 1500pts I've finally got round to logging them.

I'll post more pics of these guys, and show off the rest of the army, as well as expanding it to 2000pts and beyond.

First up, Big Mek with custom force field made from a killa kan scorcha and loads of random ork bits.

Oh and Yellow Orks is definitely the way forward.

Thought i'd pop up some WIP pictures to prove i'm making progress.

Finished the skin, armour and clothes, just the weapons and detailing to do. Oh and tidying up.

If you like check patterns, you'll love these guys! Think i might have gone overboard on them.

Finished the 4 nobs, first up the pain boy. Happy with how he turned out, tried to make the mask look like it was covered in dried in dirt and blood, rather than fresh.

There was going to be a pic of their battlewagon, but the camera ran out of battery right as i took it.

Going to be a week or so break from painting as im off to Tokyo tomorrow hope the flight goes by quick, but when i get back i'll get straight onto the Warboss, Big Mek and Biker Nob.

How did you you do your checks? Was it with a brush or one of them pen things that I keep meaning to get but then forget.

Oh and what happened to the clever name? a blogs not a plog without a clever name

Bangbangboom - checks were done by brush, lightly paint on the lines one at a time and then fill in alternate checks. Clever name is still being worked on, inspiration required!

The Biker Nob has had the least work done, but at least his Power Klaw is done.



Warboss.... relatively pleased with how he's looking, think his attack squiq is has turned out nicely, especially the mottling on its spine.







Big Mek, got a lightning effect on the blue power sources, still have a lot of work to do on his KFF.

Hopefully do some more work on them tomorrow, but the bike and KFF are intimidating me a bit!

Woohoo... 1500pts finished! Well, need to repaint the lips/tounges on about 40 orks but that wont take long.

Already started assembling some more stuff, 4 more lootas, 5 tank bustas and a grot squad.

Awesome looking Orks! ...But I'm sure you already knew that.

Well... i may have finished 1500pts, but an armies never really finished... 4 more lootas, so i can field 2 squads of 5. Nothing special, though one has a greenstuffed targetter.



5 Tank bustas, 4 with rokkits and one with a tank hammer. Greenstuffed armour, targetters...





... and greenstuffed backpacks! Pretty happy with them.

Was also my first chance to use liquid greenstuff to fill a few gaps... seems like a quality little product, much easier and better than trying to fill gaps with regular green stuff.

Hopefully get them based and sprayed tomorrow.

I really like the Tank Hamma although I am now disturbed by the idea of Orkish Beatles surely they'd be more Rok dan dat?
