I'm can't deside on a new army to play I have an idea but I don't know. I'm thinking between Eldar or Tyranids.
I have 2,500 points of IG and about 3,000 points of Space wolves (if I fully upgrade everything posable for them I usaly play 1,700 - 2,000 points with them). I have some good experance with both armys won a lot more with my SW tho, so if any of you could help that would be cool

Okay, for now on I'm telling everyone how to pick their next army if their not sure

step 1

List all the codexs alphabetically, than label them going down the list starting at "1"

step 2

roll 2d6

step 3

whatever the total you get on the 2d6 that's what codex number you're picking

step 4

start collecting the new army

Take a look at what you think would be the most interesting to paint...

Then play that army!

Just don't go Necrons yet, until they are re done. (Should be soon as far as I'm aware)

Most of my inspiration for creating a new army has come from reading the books. Read an eldar book like path of the warrior or path of the seer. Both books paint a great picture of what the eldar world is all about. They are what inspired me to start an eldar force. Tyranids are attractive for obvious reasons, their models look awesome and the variety of colors and patterns you can lay down while still looking awesome are endless. You should ask yourself what you want more, an ancient race with loads of technology and psychic abilities with clean colors and flowing lines or a world eating alien monster race comprised of swarms of flesh shredding and/or acid spitting monstrosities. The two armies have different playing styles that you will have to decide between as well. Both armies are cool either way

Eldar is my fav. There's talk about new models coming out for them soon. Unfortunately, soon from GamesWorkshop is anywhere from 2 days to 7 years, so I wouldn't depend on that. Just go with what you want!

If you don't mind the fact that you are anti-vehicle challenged, Tyranid would be my vote. A lot of flexibility between MCs and hoards.

Eldar are the most specialized and synergistic army. Again a lot of choices but after playing for a while, I find I end up with wave serpents, walkers, Dire Avengers and Fire Dragons. You can always find space for a little twist but the core of the army - at this point/codex - always ends up the same.
