Ahoy Dakka Dakka-ers!

So, after much thought and brainstorming*, I've decided that Sunday Nights is Warhammer 40k/Warhammer Fantasy night at Card Kingdom. There are 4x 6' by 4' tables at Card Kingdom, full with terrain that are open free to the public to play on. We also have an attached cafe (Cafe Mox) in case you get hungry/thirsty. Also, we have a parking lot for those of you who are familiar with the stigma of Ballard Parking and how ridiculously difficult it is to find.

Gaming kicks off at 6PM. We're open until Midnight so feel free to keep the dice rolling late.

Address is 5015 Leary Avenue NW, Seattle, WA. If you have any questions or need help finding the place, feel free to call 206.523.9605

(* - Not much thought process or brainstorming, actually. I kinda had Sunday open and decided that since the nearby Games Workshop closes at 6PM, why not have a place for people to go after they're done gaming there.)

Also, important note - The gaming tables are open 7 days a week from 10AM til Midnight, so feel free to play whenever. This event is just something to get the community organized and allow for people to come in to meet others.

Keep in mind, this post is not meant to be advertisement as much as a heads up to let people know they have a spot to game late at night.

Yea, we have an evergrowing library heh.

I'm pretty stoked for Sundays now because I can come down and play because it's one of my days off where I'm not busy with other plans.

I'd be up for a game this Sunday. I believe we talked on Saturday, how does Dark Eldar vs Tyranids sound? 2000-2500 points?

I may be busy this Sunday. If my Sunday opens up, I'll send you a PM. I haven't played too much against DE, so I'd love to get a game in with ya.

Sounds good. I haven't fought many Nids either, so I'd love to get a game on whenever you can.

Same applies to any other players here. Anyone looking for a weekend game at Card Kingdom, please let me know.

Good to know. Haven't heard of your place before, but it sounds cool.

What are your thoughts on other games being played, like Warmachine for example?

I'm kind of a miniatures addict. My thoughts on them is they are all ridiculously fun but in their own ways. All of the miniatures games we sell have some amazing rules for them (aside from Infinity, which I haven't played yet, but want to play because I've heard amazing things from some of my friends)

The communities for them all have their moments. Warmachine/Hordes has a HUGE following and they tend to pack the tables rather quickly. Infinity is played quite a bit from what I hear, but I'm usually busy running tournaments to be able to watch. I've seen a few Malifaux games, but I don't know what days they come in, in general, however I have set it up that Thursdays is Malifaux night, so hopefully people will come together then.

Awesome. Thanks for the info.

Just to clarify, you sell Infinity product in your store? Might have to make a trip up there sooner rather than later

Sounds awesome! I'll probably be a regular on Sunday nights. I'm trying to get 40k but its hard during the week. I can do up to 2.5k of Black Templars. I'll be there this weekend.

Nice! I used to play quite a bit against Black Templar, but then my friend moved to Texas.

My buddies and I usually play at CK on Saturdays, but we can certainly make Sundays a game day as well (though this coming Sunday is not good for me). I'm still trying to teach them 40k for the most part, but I'd love to see us get to play against some new armies. Between us we've got several different armies; I've got Eldar, Templars, a few Tyranids, and am starting some Necrons for the new codex. One of my buddies has moderate experience and he's got chaos marines, IG, and some DA Deathwing. The other guy is just starting 40k and has a bunch of Tau.

I'll spread the word that Sunday is the new warhammer day.

Eldar of Ulthwe - 5000pts
Black Templars - 2000pts
Servants of the Sautekh - 1500pts

Sounds awesome! I'm down for Saturday's as well. I live in Cap hill without a car so if anyone wants to meet up during the week and play at Seattlewargamming i'd be down ( not to deter people from Card Kingdom )

I've got a nids force I'm working on as well. If anyone has extra models or wants to do some trades I'd be up for it. I've got a bunch of extra marine stuff too.

I'm gonna be setting up shop on Sunday there for 40k games. I have one set up already for 6, but any time before that, I'll be around for games. I'll probably be there around noon to 2, and stay til my game and six. Let me know if you want to game then. Or earlier!

DAAAAAAMMMMMIT! Why do i live in Kent? Need to move...

Maybe I can come by on days where there is no footballing going down, this weekend doesnt count i already have plans today.

I should open my own store, if only i had lucrative, flowing, beautiful money!

EDIT: The people who game in the Kent GW kind of suck a little bit, couple of d-bags there, some good nice gamers as well, but a lot of not so nice ones as well.

Is there a policy on unpainted armies? Us poor college students have little money and less time, so army painting/building is rather slow going..

I don't believe so. I know I personally don't care about it, and it isn't like these are tournaments or anything. I've seen un/partially painted armies there.

Correct, what Sekminara said. We're not sticklers for painted armies. Once we start doing tournaments, that will change because the tournament requirements tend to be at least three colors and based.

Yeah, nobody has a problem with unpainted minis for casual games, but finished ones certainly are nicer.

I'm going to try and rally my erstwhile gang of misfits for a game or two this weekend, not sure about which day/time yet.

Let me know what days you're planning, I'd like to get some gaming in as well, as long as Skyrim doesn't own me.

Looking like Sunday is more likely, though not everyone has gotten back to me. I'd be happy to do more than one game, as we're running an escalation campaign (+250pts per tier) to teach some people how to play. I would be more than happy to play a regular game though. The stuff I can field is in my sig, though my Necrons haven't all arrived/been assembled yet.

OoOoh New Necrons!

I may have to swing by on a Sunday to see them/see how they play with the new rules.

I'll be there this Sunday around 6, and I'll try to bring some of my local Everett area gaming goons (CLAN BOOZEHAMMER!)

I have 1500, 1750, 1850, 2000 and 2500 point lists for my Night Lords, which I can run with either Chaos Marines or Blood Angels codexes. (Blood Angels actually makes more sense for Night Lords...)

Curran12 and I had a good friendly game of eldar versus dark eldar on sunday, and I'm planning on trying to make it over to CK for another game this weekend, assuming I can get my 1500 points of new Necrons together by then.

I'm hoping I can corral my posse this time, they were too engrossed in a SWTOR weekend beta to come down last time.

Yes, Deus and I had an excellent game with a suitably huge dead pile. And suitably entertaining moments (such as my Archon failing to hit Guardians with 6 attacks >.> )
