Sign looks good.
Could you place the sign slightly higher so the top support was onto the more solid looking part above the window, then add a support beam inside the window from where the lower post meets the window to the ceiling inside?
Then the sign is supported and the window stays intact.

I'm feeling the need to agree with you fellas. That overhanging window is what makes that kit so cool. Well, since it'll be awhile before the lettering arrives from across the pond, we have time to discuss it. I'll offer you all a challenge. I think our eyes and brains are wired to notice signs and not the supports that hang them up. When you are out and about in the real world, take a look at real sign supports around where you live and travel and report any ideas.

Maybe the supports for the sign could be spread apart a touch, so they mount at the bottom of the frame, and above the window. It wouldn't be as noticeable then I don't think

I feel like you need it to be attached to a structural area of some kind. Here's one I know well...

Another option would be an upside down capital L. so the sign is cantilevered off the top of the window frame where the top x is on the pic.

Spreading the mountings apart is a good idea Sheep.
and I've just been out and about on the internet to see what I could see...
Depends on how far you are willing to depart from the FO original concept;
You can have it hung from above (as Sheep also mentioned)
But a sign that big probably wouldn't be good to have hanging free, so may need a lower support attached to the wall anyway....
Or you could make it free standing out front of the shop;
Like these but in metal
and while I was looking a signs, look what I found;
I'll be back if I have any other ideas.

My first thought is, the sign just doesn't work on this building and that it needs a solid brick wall behind it...
Having said that, you could always have the supports in a horizontal V shape stradling the window frames - so the wide part of the V is either side of the windows and the point of the V is on the sign - something like this?

I still think the sign needs to be on a plain brick wall TBH, maybe this is just the wrong building style though? Maybe this WS building would be a better fit with the sign? http://woodlandscenics.woodlandscenics.com/show/Item/PF5893/page/1 Please don't Bane me for saying that

That can still be made to work if you keep the window, if the window was taken off in favor of a bricked wall, then the sign would take such a center spot.

The Joe haul from yesterday
Blowtorch, Barbeque, Tripwire, Bazooka (been looking for him forever), Wild Bill, Major Bludd, Crimson Guard
BeachHead, Joe Colton, Kwinn
Yep, That's Bruce Willis!
Kwinn is a Comic book favorite, and Hasbro gave him an amazing array of accessories. Clearly the fig is geared towards adult collectors as it's (thankfully) missing the current standard of bulky, stupid-looking ziplines and kiddish missile launchers.

Challenge accepted, and I'm heading out right now to take a picture of a bracket I noticed years ago. I agree w/ you that people are conditioned to see only the sign and not the mount. You'll see why when I get back here in about 30-40 minutes (10am-ish EST) to post a pic of supporting evidence. I've been meaning to take a picture of it anyway because it's really funny, and now I have the motivation. I'll be back.
And if I see anything else bracket-related I'll take a pic of that as well.

it is quite surprising how recognizable these models are...indeed, technology has gone a far amount forward since my kids days... these didn´t look back than as good as these now...
even tho i haven´t (yet) watched the walking dead even i can say they look the part!
and off to one side is in my opinion the way to go with that sign... i just have a slight issue still buzzing in my brain concerning the size of the sign... it appears to me is a bit too large in relation to the building... i know such talk is probably not helping things here... but what do you thinki about it dave?
also... i am currently uploading a major truckload of an update... so i wouldn´t want to auto add it
