Mostly, on my phone.

Dave, guys, apologies for threadjack but you have to check this guy's work out, incredible stuff:
http://petapixel.com/2013/10/14/life-like-miniature-scenes-shot-using-model-cars-forced-perspective-250-ps/
As it says, he uses toy cars and basic photography tricks to amazing effect. It got me generally thinking about stuff we do, and could do - and my brain when straight to your awesome works.

If you grew up around such that is scary Dave!

I would however yell at the Big ones to go down naming them "Bubba" and the little ones "Cleetus" or "Jeeter"

That is some great stuff! I read model railroading magazines quite often, and there are always articles in those about forced perspective. Some guys even build entire cities on their layouts in different scales or at odd angles so that you get that illusion even standing in front of the layout.

Forgeworld also uses that for their images of battlefield model making.

It is indeed beautiful! I'm still trying to ID the exact year of manufacture. Then it all needs disassembled and broken down for a thorough cleaning. I can't wait to shoot some clay pigeons with it.

Sorry thought you were going to shoot some paint with it, to distress a model or two.

Absolutely beautiful.

I think I've identified it as a 1957 model, one of 10,900 shipped that year. Still waiting on verification by an expert, but it's in pretty good shape for being 56 years old.

@ graven- that was the best thing I'll see all day, thanks for posting that.

@ Dave- Wicked nice piece there, though I do have to critique the scale. It seems a bit large even by GW 28mm 'Heroic' scale. But still very well done. I especially like the detail around the butt plate. Excellent work.

Yes Sir! 4 in the mag, +1 in the chamber

Although it's currently plug limited to 3 (legal bird-hunting configuration)

Browning A-5 first made in 1902, the image is an exact match, they used the A-5 you have as an exemplar image

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shotgun
"Semi-automatic
A Browning A-5 semi-automatic shotgun

Gas, inertia, or recoil operated actions are other popular methods of increasing the rate of fire of a shotgun; these are generally referred to as autoloaders or semi-automatics. Instead of having the action manually operated by a pump or lever, the action automatically cycles each time the shotgun is fired, ejecting the spent shell and reloading a fresh one into the chamber. The first successful semi-automatic shotgun was John Browning's Auto-5, first produced by Fabrique Nationale beginning in 1902. Other well-known examples include the Remington 1100, Benelli M1, and Saiga-12.

Some, such as the Franchi SPAS-12 and Benelli M3, are capable of switching between semi-automatic and pump action. These are popular for two reasons; first, some jurisdictions forbid the use of semi-automatic actions for hunting, and second, lower-powered rounds, like "reduced-recoil" buckshot shells and many less lethal cartridges, have insufficient power to reliably cycle a semi-automatic shotgun."

You have a piece of shotgun history in your possession there Dave. Very classy indeed!!

Yep! The barrel recoils when fired, rocking back the receiver, ejecting the spent casing and loading the next shell into the chamber.

I am good at digging up obscure stuff

Seems many attempts were also made for making tanks armed with rockets

No, shotguns don't generally have rivets, as they are intended to be disassembled. We rivet things to last millenia

Not where I should be

In the shot from the game, the sign is mounted more to one side, which would allow you to keep the beautiful window and mount the sign on a nice riveted bracket. Sign looks awesome.
