also, this may be the most stupid question ever. but have you look at pripyat for inspiration on deserted buildings and stuff

it seems that you take alot of inspiration from new vegas (well, fallout in general).
i mean there is alot of cool pics from that city.

Dave's at his best when he's filthy! building is so good dude, you have an excellent grasp of where, how much and what to do to each style of building or bunker or bridge to make it look more than just a terrain or backdrop peice but something in it's own right that people WANT to look at, it inspires us to move forward and not just paint but CREATE! so i thank you Dave from the bottom of my riveted heart! :-)

Here are the templates. Printed at 100% the sign should measure 3" tall and 2.75" (or so, I didn't measure exactly on that, just kept it proportional) wide.

The items marked "B" are a second way to do the topmost layer. Use these if you want to cut the borders for the small pieces and the large triangular piece separately. The other outline bit on the sheet is there if you want to cut that topmost layer in one piece (which is what I'd do, personally).

Hope this all makes some sense and you find this helpful.

A wonderful surprise after I got home! I had Jury Duty today, sat all day long on uncomfortable chairs in a golden gilded courthouse. Thankfully my name was at the bottom of the list and they had selected their jury before I got called up. Now I have 2 years before I have to worry about service guaranteeing citizenship! Basically, I dodged a bullet today, it is a high-profile case that I'm glad I don't have to spend the next 3-4 weeks bothering with.

Be ready Dave, if the jurors they selected for some reason become disqualified, they may call you all back for replacements? I think this depends on state to state.

Pripyat is the name of an abandoned ukranian city in the close proximity of the Chernobyl power plant.
It recently became more widely known since it was taken as setting for many recent movies and games, like CoD, Chernobyl Diaries etc.

Well, I think Chernobyl is the fundamental imagery behind most if not all of the atomic post-apocalyptic fiction out there. I want to like the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series of games, but being voiced in Russian and reading the subtitles in English, I lose the story immersion a bit, since I don't understand the language. There are a lot of campfire conversatons going on, giving a rich background story that I miss. The Metro series may have been voiced by horrible Russian accents, but at least I could get into the story and let it scare me a bit. The Fallout series, being based in the US hits a little bit home for me, since I can relate to the attitudes portrayed. Civilization is fragile, and Americans are easily herded into ideological frenzies due to our relative collective lack of education IMHO. Talk to the old man in Megaton, and I hear his ignorant speech around me almost daily.

I've read the metro books... and boy did they frighten me... all that walking in total darkness...for hours... really I doubt any brave man out there could do this without loosing his mind in the process...after that you really get afraid of the dark...!
also the books in my opinion didn´t read Russian...I felt as if I read the adventures of a german... there wasn´t really a typical Russian feel to it... all mashed up modern and so on...

Well, in the Metro Games, they are voice-acted, in english, with Russian accents. I'd like to find the books, but I haven't seen them in stores around here.

I totally know what you mean, but dear lord are those metro games awesome. I feel like I have missed out on so much, but I guess that is what having a girlfriend does to you :/

Sneaking around in the shadows of the Reich's outpost DOES get your heart pumping though. Metro: last Light is an amazing game to play.

I'm sure if you asked to be removed du to your excessive logging that he judge would have left you off the hook. Either that o sequestered you until you build him a table full of fallout goodness .

I may have to wait till they make the stripped down X-box One,,,ya know, no Kinnect, just the console? for the game Fallout-4 but if they make it able to be played on the X-box 360, I will be good then.

Haha Point Lookout was my least favorite DLC. Talk about hitting close to home with the inbred rednecks that can take 6 shotgun shells to the face!

At least you were able to snipe your way through...in FO otherwise something not often possible...in Vegas tho somthing you can do from the beginning...I like open ranges far better...
