Ok so First of all, when i'm reading through DakkaDakka i alway see people saying they were "Tabled", they "Tabled" their opponent or they had almost "Tabled" their opponent. Sorry if this noob to ask but what is it, from what i can think it must be some way of cornering you opponent or something but could someone just clear that up fo me

And secondly, i started my Chaos Space Marine army about 3 months ago and so far i've been using a friends codex but i won't alway be able to use his. I want to buy the codex for my self but with all the rumors of the Chaos Legions coming out with in the next 6 months i don't know if its worth buying yet. Do you think i should buy it, because if i do and it comes out in say 2 or 3 months its kinda a waist of $50 ???

Tabling refers to when you clear the table of your opponent's army. When you table someone, it means you've wiped them out utterly.

$50 for a codex? Where are youbuying your codex, dude? o.O

Tabling implies you killed/removed every one of your opponents models from the table. As far as the codex, have you tried ebay or anywhere to see if you can find a better price? I mean you cant count on codex order per se since theyve also made it sound like bt and tau could also be next. So I say if you can find a cheaper copy go for it.

You poor americans. I get a codex for £20!! Or if I buy the sisters codex, I pay 39, and get 2 issues of WD to boot. And I alredy have 1/2 so...

No they are australian. In U.S.A they are around 30 to 35.

I'm an american, and I've seen this book go for $50 in person. Perhaps the store owner bought the book from GW after its most recent price hike, but before the USD started to slide against sterling.

$33 with free shipping isn't that shabby, actually.

I would avoid paying full retail price for a codex that is going to be replaced within a year. And yes, $55 is the normal cost for us Aussies...

Have a look around eBay for some second-hand ones. It's a fairly old (by power armoured standards) codex, so there should be quite a few floating around. Also try Australian forums like WargamerAU which has a more local Buy Swap & Sell forum.

Thats the thing its all rumors so i do know it it will be out next week or next December i looked around ebay, there is a but of 3rd ed, even 2nd ed but only one 4th ed but its still the same price. i might just buy it and to bad if it comes out.

E-bay is your friend(do they ship to Australia?)

If you really need a codex, buy it online for super cheap. That way you won't be out a whole lot if and when they do update the codex.

OP try finding a FLGS. They *should* sell them slightly cheaper then a GW store. If you keep trawling ebay you will eventually find one. I see them often enough. There are other alternatives that could suffice till you find a cheap copy or until the new dex is released, like say finding a PDF or torrent version of it.

The pages of our Codices are lined with gilded gold, and the rules and artwork ink stamped on the finest sheets of silver.

Such is the price we pay for our things. Buy it online mate, you wont regret it. Ever.

Find one of the local (online) dealers who sells GW at a discount (like Milsims, the combat company, gaming dragon, etc).

At worst, you'll save $10, at best, $12.50 but then lose most of that with shipping (unless you spend $100).

Yeah this works if you are buying in the US, but he is an Aussie so the book is $55 in austrailian dollars.
