WE GOT BUG TROUBLES!
I played a game with a member of my local gaming club last week and the guy decided to make a battle report, some of the photographs are blurry but not everyone has access to top notch photography equipment.

So for those of you who want to see photos of the full grot army in action visit the Gobstyks forum to see the GROT VS TYRANID BATTLE REPORT

Also the Thundasquig Gunship is starting to come together nicely and I look forward to unveiling the centerpeice for my army before Throne Of Skulls.

Till then

ANOTHER PROJECTS ENDS, ANOTHER BEGINS!
With the ThundaSquig now assembled and being painted up ready for next week’s Throne Of Skulls tournament I'm likely to take a break from the grots. I’ll build one of the extra units now and then which I mentioned earlier.

Anyway I’m hear to announce that my next project is a Pre-Heresy Night Lords Jump Pack Army; right now it’s just in the planning stages so I’d be grateful for any feedback on the unit concepts and what type of bases to use on the log (Not on this one however!). Just click on the pic below…

Speaking of Thundasquig Gunships I might have just the model...

If GW brings out this abomination I'll likely be the only one who buys it cause to be honest my valkyrie doesn't look very grotish but this crazy flyer will fit right in!

Of course its perfect, GW has seen your amazing grot army and made a gunship designed with the aesthetics of a (rather square) Squig (with wings). As you can see they have obviously seen your "Squig-Tanks" and decided to try and make a vehicle perfect for your armies overall design aesthetic.
Real shame that this thing is supposed to be a Stormraven...
Pretty shameful attempt by GW to make a Stormraven given the awesome conversions out there.

I would love to see the "Stromraven Gunship" as a Thunda-Squig Gunship.

Add teeth to the door and feet instead of the landing struts. Just to bring out it's inner Squig...

Very nice grot army, also good idea on making the stormraven a grot flyer, it's really a weirdly design flyer

That is what GW came up with for the Stormraven? That thing is an abomination. It could never fly in atmosphere (rather important for a drop ship). It laughs in the face of basic principles of flight.
I know its a sci-fi space ship, but the damn thing is way too front-heavy with way too tiny wings. It's not even remotely asthetically pleasing.

The majority of the kitbashes I've seen for the Stormraven put this thing to shame.

All that being said, it's perfect for a dropship inspired by a flying squig... Just put rediculous eyes on the shroud behind the dorsal turret and teeth around the front hatch and you're pretty much done.

Well since GW have decided to bring out a model for the Thundasquig Gunship, my current Valkyrie choppa conversion needs a new name; any suggestions?

So far I can only think of 'Da Battle-Kopta'

Sadly no, the closest you can get are the poor quality photos from the Battle Report > http://gobstyks.freeforums.org/tyranids-vs-imperial-guard-1750-pts-batrep-with-pictures-t1666.html

As for the name suggestions I'd like to move away from squig references, I'm thinking of either 'Thunda-Kopta' or 'Thunda-Bomba' since it's armed with 3 twin linked lascannons, What do you think?
