I'm confused. You start 5 topics, the first of which seems to indicate that you are starting/have started a GK army, and then 40% of your threads since have been "GK are dum/MAT WURD" drivel. At this point I'm kind of thinking you're an unclever troll, though on the other hand, the initial and real troll might have been at the P&M guys for trying to paint up a dual-purpose army scheme.

He hasn't commented on the Grey Knight Codex post release, or acknowledged that the majority of veteran 40K players think it is horribly broken and is extremely unhealthy for the

I'll buy him a beer if he shows up. I gotta imagine those guys don't normally make appearances at non-gw functions, though the FW guys are usually pretty cool. I think you should try not telling people you're running Daemons until after they make their GK armies, and then maybe you won't be so butthurt by the warpquake spam. It seriously crumples against any reasonably competitive list that doesn't depend on deep strike, and I'm guessing that's what your problem is, judging upon the amount of rage you appear to possess.

It has nothing to with Daemons dude. I have never lost to Grey Knights with them, and Vs. Warp Quake spam it is 50\50; whoever goes first wins that one. I actually like the idea of having an arch enemy. If only
the rules and fluff were good.

It has to do with the fact that everyone and their grandma is playing Grey Knights now. Kids that buy the army and plug in the latest netlist can actually compete with veteran players.
I have witnessed it time and time again, and it is screwed up. Matt Ward & GW need to be held accountable for it, and the entire 40K player base should be absolutely outraged.

Other space marine armies are like smurfs compared to them. Vs. Tyranids; don't even go there. Orks are horribly disadvantaged against them. They can be beat consistently with IG and DE.
The balance is just really, really bad and is all over the place. This whole topic is a subject that would take up pages and pages.

Funny enough, I actually have dabbled in Historicals. Well, Warmaster and DBA. They are actually good games.

Maybe it's just because I'm on the other side of the coin that I'm not bothered by this. I started with Daemonhunters. I have about 14 metal termies and probably 40 metal GKPA. My win/lose ratio in normal games is roughly 2:1, but that was when the codex was fresh, before I started only playing Adepticon TT style games. I'd like to note that the ratio started a swift decrease after my opponents started to figure out out to beat them. In current team tournament games, my side is actually generally a bit under 1:1, but that's something I've been working on. I'm not the greatest player in the world, but I'm far from the worst. I find it interesting that netlisting rookies are consistently competing with vets. Perhaps the meta has changed and those vets need to re-evaluate their armies.

Basically, the two sides summed up are as follows: Hater - "In a vacuum, GKSS are better than Tac Marines, point for point" Fanboy - "If they're so better, why aren't they winning all the tournaments."

Also, I get torn limb from limb when I play against Orks, but I don't Purifier spam and dealing with Orks has always been my weak point. I think Orks are only seriously threatened by Purifiers though. At least, they've been the focus of most of the complaints I've heard. Funny that you mention DE and Nids. I play Nids also, and I've massacred GK players with them. It takes genestealer spam to do it, but that's how I roll. SitW is your friend as far as force weapon fears go. DE is also interesting because the couple matches I've had against DE usually result in me massacring them, so much that I caused one of our guys to stop playing DE. What kind of GK armies do you usually see? I typically go terminator heavy, with psyfleman dreads as fire support, and maybe a handful of purifiers or paladins in there to spice things up. I tend to play them like 3rd edition Daemonhunters also though, which could explain the wide differences in what you see versus what I see.

I'm not pissed. My non-GK playing friends aren't pissed (well, not usually). The kids I see at the FLGS aren't pissed. I see lots of internet hate, but that's about it.

Ultimately, if you want to send a message to GW, cash out. Stop buying, and steer other people to other games. Only way to send a message.

I also want to point out that these were the exact things people were saying about Space Wolves, C:SM before BA made C:SM largely obsolete, and, to a lesser extent, when IG first came out.

People were even calling Nids cheesy until they shut up long enough to actually look at the codex. (and also the FAQ)
