The Restrictions I Put On My Tallarn Lists:
- Missile Launchers are the only HW teams allowed in Infantry Squads.
- All units able to take the FW Desert Raider special rule, must take it in lists of 750 points or more.
- 1 unit of 10 Rough Riders is required for lists of 1000 points or more.
- 2 units of Mukaali Rough Riders are required for lists of 1000 points or more.
- No vehicles besides Chimera Armoured Transports and Hydra Flak Tank Batteries are allowed.
- Al'Rahem is required in lists of 1000 points or more.

I would drop the champions from your units as they are a lot of points for not much benefit, and drop the skink chief BSB...He is very fragile for a BSB. Just make your slann the BSB and with lore of light (which is excellent here in this list ) you are already gonna hang out within 12" of all your troops so they would retain the benefits of your general and BSB in the middle. The extra points should allow you to get another scar-vet to join either your big block of saurus or your cold one cav. Armor of Destiny is awesome here as its heavy armor and gives you a 4+ward save, and on your scar vet now I would drop the current items and give him the talisman of preservation. Now you have two characters with 4 attacks st 7, and if you whiff then you still have a 4+ in the event of people rolling lucky against you, or killing blows or high str attacks that bypass all your armor.

Well Saurus don't flee often. A BSB isn't really needed. The Skink BSB is really fragile, but with the inti. boost he should give the units Frenzy long enough to at least get an extra 10 attacks in. You may be right though, that is a lot of points that are probably just going to get killed.

So you think the Cold One Cav are a good investment? I'm kinda on the line about um'

The champions are just there to jump in and challenge fight-y characters (to take all the hits for a turn so they don't go on to kill more saurus.) And with the BSB, general, and the Lore of Light boosts, Its not like it will hurt combat res. enough to make them flee. It was either a champion or another saurus.

Well the scar-vets should take the challenges, they can take the hits even if you cant get your spells off, and they are more killy then a champ can ever be. you dont just want to fight them to a stalemate all the time. And 25 more pts to the slann wouldnt hurt too much, its when you dont have the BSB when you end up needing him lol. Plus you wont always be able to get your spells off so dont count on it too much, it boosts your army thats it, your main battle plan shouldnt be built on the basis that youll get them off every time.

And no the cold one cav are too many pts for what they do, I just thought you were trying to work with what you have. I would drop them for a unit of 6 kroxigors \
Plus with stupidity it'll fail when you need to pass the most...

Still its lookin good, glad to see more lizardmen players
