I never really got into BB. I made a team a few years back that is on the shelf, and a sudden interest in it has caused me to dig it out and do some research. I am curious about the current state of the game, when was the LRB updated last? I already have a feeling that GW doesnt give a crap about BB so I just want some general updates. any direction here?

The last LRB or the CRP is only a few years old. Impact Miniatures sell teams under the Elf Bowl name and tackle dice. It's owned/run by the head CRP writer. There also " talk fantasy football" a forum for blood bowl and other grid iron sports.

Blood Bowl still GW best game ever.

Would anyone be interested in playing with one of your legendary "retired" teams on one of those blood bowl programs (like Apprentice was for Magic) against my league team? We could even have a mini dakka league... spanning continents!

2 lineman
1 gobbo
1 troll
ugroth the chainsaw star player

got a lot of my oponents models in the KD zone.

Nice.

I must point out, in the current rules you can no longer buy star player for your team. They can now only join a team for one game with inducements (the free money you get before a match form being a lower TV).

You can put your "actual gold" into petty cash if you want, so it is technically possible to get them otherwise, but yeah, they go away after a game.

I would love it if they restarted Blood Bowl, with some new miniatures, and possibly new rules.

Saying that, I've never played Blood Bowl, so I don't know if the rules need updating.

No update needed, the lastest rule set has nearly 10 years of playtesting. Yes playtesting and not just, "Hey, this would be cool".

Have you looked into Impact Miniature, Elfbowl team. It basically bloodbowl teams with different name. Plus it owned by the lead writer of the LRB and they sell tackle dice if you need more.

Chicago-Land.

There are many minature lines to look at. The nice thing about Bloodbowl is the conversions.

As far as the Arabic team, they have many human teams. I believe a traditional medieval era team, a samurai team, and a few others if I'm not mistaken. I suggest looking into impact miniatures and their website.

The PC game is a great way to learn and practice Blood Bowl.

I got multiple copies of the Dark Elf Edition for $7 each and gave them to my new Bloodbowl league players so they could brush up their skills.

The Legendary Edition added the missing teams and is awesome to play as well.

I would love to see Blood Bowl make a comeback. I just want them to support the game as they don't really care about the community anymore. Lets hope that changes. Or just release the game and leave it at that.

One of the coolest thinks about Bloodbowl IMO is the fact that your roster can only have up to 16 players MAX, which means its fairly quick and easy to convert models for the entire team (specially compared to other table top games).
With that said, there are so many human miniatures out there (both in WFB universe and not), that anyone can come up with a original human team theme, with as minimum effort.

I had an Undead team back in the late 90's, and I don't know if it's because I was really good a BB or if they were overpowered, but I don't think I ever lost a game. I imagine it was the latter!

Not sure if they are still the same way?

I do love bloodbowl though and me and my mate were talking about dusting off our teams and having a game next month. Would have to find the new rules somewhere though!

Thousand Sons CSM and Tzeentch Daemons : 2000pts
Imperial Guard Mixed Regiment: 2500pts

I started BB in 94 with a undead team and by this time it was nothing like overpowered! Later however when you could field 4 ghouls along with 4 wights, then it was.

Today, with 4 ghouls an 2 wights it's a balanced team IMO, just fine for a slightly experienced player.
