Much better, I like the way the colors merge now, paints a scene pun intended, assuming the Orange is where the grass is going? Love it Knightley!

Looking at using any gloss varnish or water effects on some of the smooth bits of the base? Make it look like wet mud?

@Wolvey - Yep you got it, its how I can tell where to put it all
@EDC - Cheers man!
@Mad - Not at this stage, the blank areas will get grass applied to match all my other Marine bases
Update: this is the black wash followed with a light drybrush of Mithril silver over the top

Oh yes I want some ways to tie the army together.
Update: This guy is huge, I didn't really understand how big he is until I started on the legs, All I managed to get through was a tiny bit of blue on the power cables, a tiny bit of black on the hip joints, a medium amount of red and khaki on the toilet paper and a decent amount of bronze on some other bits, all that in like two hours, this is going to take a long time I think.

I just can't get over the "I need to poop" pose on some of the knights/titans. I realize it won't be noticeable once the models are complete... but at the legs stage it's just too obvious!

Sorry to have brought it up, Gits.
No I'm not.

@Solar - Yep agreed, at that stage I had just painted the base colours, check below for the finished bronze
@Gits - Hahaha yes, things I wish I could go back and change, the poop pose is definitely it!
@Briancj - It's all in good fun, I don't mind this guy was my trial as the next one (with the better pose) should be much better looking as well who knows there might be something even bigger on the horizon?
Update: pretty much finished the legs minus the plates, here he is on the base, just standing there.

@Eggroll - True, but its mainly people on Dakka who will see it (bar the few people I have games against) btw loving your warhound, it edged me a bit closer to getting one myself
Update: Started on the shin armour, base colours laid out, needs to be shaded then highlighted, but shouldn't take long

You know I do not mind the position of the legs, but then I am used to looking at GW Ork legs, very similar pose!
Paint is beautiful and crisp as usual and excellent squiggle work, nice balance, not too much.
The only thing bothering me a little is the rubble at his feet is mostly stuff from his own side, his allies? Maybe with the pose etc, he is a looted Knightly Knight, Just stick a Orky platform on top of those legs with a flamer and your golden!
JK I really like the base, it's excellent but not too much that it draws you away from those ankles.

It is VENGEANCE debris, Cam. the Knight is moving through the ruins of its allies, in order to dish out...JUSTICE.

@Januine - Love it, if I had any skill in 3d modelling and animation I would totally do a Knight twerking just for the lols
@Azazelx - Cheers, anything to break up the large area of bland space right?
@Cam - There is a 'technically' only one item from a force on his side, that being the GK shoulder pad right in the centre, there is a coupe of allied rubble being the Dark Angel helmet and rhino hatch combined with the ultramarine helmet and rhino door. The rest is either Chaos (Word bearer Rhino door, skull pile area and spikes, and the Necron Bit (NFI what it is) Still thank you very much for the kind words
@hk1x1 - Cheers, it is an 'old' titan, however its had a rather nice new paint job
@Gits - Thanks man!
@Briancj - I like this idea and will use it if ever I get questioned on it again
Update: Started on the head, moving on up as they say

@Briancj - You know what, I believe there is only one skull on the entire model, and its at the rear, all the rest have been added by me, I actually had to check this.
@Ice - I know right, that ammo hopper is off the charts!
@Zerg - You could also take our a small house loan, float your mortgage and eat instant noodles for a year
@Solar - Thanks man
@Wolvey - It was a great milestone getting the legs on the base, seeing that much already done really helped me get cracking on the rest of him!
