Massive dakka update completed! A post adepticon flurry, ironing out bugs and adding some fun (small) new features to make it easier to find stuff you've read or posted and forgotten about.

User profile page is muuuuuch nicer and more useful. Including post counts and averages so you can see where someone tends to hang out now!

All thread views (friends threads, subscribed threads, etc) can be filtered by forum now, making it much easier to find things you read and left.

'my own threads' is in the thread tools drop down now

PM system now tracks when you send replies (wont work for the past, but any future PMs you send will track if they are replys are not. Click the nodding ork to get the original message or read the reply you sent to the message.

pls is no longer autocorrected to please to prevent some URLs getting messed up

twitter, facebook, reddit share icons in the top right of every thread view page

No 'automatically appended next post' in the new DCM forum or any mod forums (or survivor games but that was already in place).

That fething annoying missing post bug, where you would post the first post on a new page and then have it vanish until someone else posts has been found and crushed finally! Might happen a couple more times as it irons out the bug from old threads but the fix is in place now.

Download count removed from attachments as it has been inactive for a while and is discouraging to see an eternal 0.

Dakka Twitter feed being pushed on home page now.

Known users removed from profile pages as nobody used it and it was confusing

Lots of database optimisation should keep the site nice and fast for a while longer.

if a code block is put in a post, all glossary and spoiler replacements are skipped (so code will always override other special formatting options). Note, a spoiler block in the same post a code block will be broken and invisible forever, but that is preferable to a code block getting mashed up. Basically, wrapping something in code tags will ensure it does not get any strange extra text inserted now.

I noticed something on the profile page that may be worth noting:

It says I'm not a DCM.

I don't know if that's a glitch in the profile, or if my DCM status expired and the system didn't let me know. Either of these could be considered a bug.

Redbeard, your DCM status expired on the 20th April.

The system is bad about letting people know about expiry, it just kind of happens. I should probably update that too

I was interested to read how much I post in the OT, compared to other areas of the board, by percent. It made me disappointed in myself, to be honest, and left me with a resolve to dramatically limit posting there and renew contributing to other parts of dakka.
