Beast of Nurgle, Plaguebearer, Daemonettes. That's what I seen anyway. It was just parts of the cover of the Daemons codex.

I doubt we'll get new Daemonettes, although I do really not like the current ones' looks.

If no new Chaos codex next month we'll probably get the rumoured few new plastic Daemon kits & the new flyers.

Starter box in september, Chaos codex in october, Hobbit in november... would be fine too.

I don't think the pics used were to show what's getting updated, other than to say "it's daemons".

Yeah, that schedule is round about what I'm expecting too, considering the "something new every month" approach they're apparently taking.

I don't really understand the whole premise that releasing the starter with Cultists without the "proper" Codex rules is some huge mistake. The starter serves primarily as a means for new players to get into the hobby. While it can serve as a great buy for existing players of the armies included in the starter is more a byproduct. Not to mention it's going to be a wait of what a month.....

Plus with the Ally rules they can simply count as IG for the moment.

*IS angered*..

I've been waiting for over a year since I first heard CSM's were out late summer this year, I love me daemons but CSM's need it more.

I'm slightly happy for the release of Daemons, but the lack of Chaos Marines.....

DAMN YOU TO HELL GW! YOU BLEW IT UP!

Surely they can't be waiting until after the starter comes out to do the Codex. I hope at the very least that they stop selling the old codex so people don't go in, pick up a box set and two 'dexs then find out both of them are out of date in short order. At least if it is DA next year you will get 5-6 months out of it, but if C:CSM was in October... That would make allot of new players very angry, and not just new to GW, but I can see people picking up the box who have an SM force and using the chaos as allies somewhere and if they are not aware of the rumors...

Or that dude that said C:CSM comes out on September 1st was right, and it comes out slightly before the starter set?

Wow, GW sure knows how to kill a buzz. I have a small fortune saved up for CSM but I'm not spending a cent on daemons.

I must be the only person who wouldn't mind some Daemon love, so to speak. The current codex is great fluff-wise, but they are fething nightmare to play.

A part of me hopes, even if it is extremely unlikely, it is a fully fledged Daemon codex. New daemon kits will be pretty sweet otherwise, maybe this will teach people not to listen to rumourmongers so closely...

Speaking of listening closely has anybody been able to decipher what is being said from 0.11 to 0.18?

I thought i I heard something that sounded like 'We are the.. *missed it* one and feast... *missed it* broken... *missed it*

I think it's going to be a reverse the audio to hear what is being said effort as the other words are completely indecipherable to me.

I thought I heard "skies are broken". I dunno though, for all I can tell it's just gibberish that they distorted because it sounded cool and demonic.

I do think the fact that they got their own teaser video is weird though, if it's only going to be a couple of models and maybe WD rules...although I think the storm talon at least got a teaser video to go with it so maybe it doesn't mean a full army release.

There'll be rules in the starter set for the armies there, so new players picking it up won't know any different. The rest of us would take our time to paint the figs, so probably won't be playing with them for a few weeks either.

IT makes a certain amount of sense that Demons need some love. With their current rules, they auto-loose if they can get blasted off the table in any turn... and that is frightfully easy to do if your opponent makes some bad deepstrike rolls.

Finally plastic Nurgle stuff, would make me happy, even if it's at the expense of CSM codex, for another month or two.

This sentiment is fairly funny considering the playerbase has completely engineered this buzz. We rile ourselves up into a frenzy of excitement and then get angry because GW don't live up to whatever we've collectively decided must be up for release.

Hooza!

Hopefully this means we're not too far from a codex & army book release, perhaps GW is treating us similar to the Vamp Counts in Fantasy?! Give us a couple new units right now w/rules in WD, then fully updated books 6-8 months afterwards?

Hey, a girl can dream!

I hope it is a new daemon book (but I doubt it). Its an old book desperately in need of an update, just like its brethren (DA, Tau, BT). However, unlike those other books, its an assault army. An assault army with a ton of poor armor saves. The new edition has pitched those armies off a cliff. Walking around trying to punch people without a +3 save is really hard now, with the nerfs to cover, overwatch, etc. I just want to see where GW is taking assault this edition (because right now it highly favors shooting). Mainly so we can see where they'll be taking Orks and Nids too.

I can guarantee it's not a new book. Just another wave of models.

Wow at some of the reaction on here..

Why do some people treat rumours as basically facts? And why is e starter set suddenly coming out before the Chaos dex? They might both be in September. Personally after reading all The rumours again, the guy saying 1st of September for the chaos dex seems pretty logical, and probably right.
Earlier in the year most of the rumours I saw said Chaos in Sept or October anyway...

Fantasy didn't get a new army book until March following the release. There may be a shift in that pattern because of the Hobbit but I wouldn't expect a codex for 40k until after Christmas. I do expect to see a couple of waves for demons and some flyers. I find it odd that they don't seem to be tying the demons to a codex as they could have had the WHFB one.

I think there is a pretty big tell that CSM were not going to be updated in August.

The old/current CSM codex is available and can be added to your cart without issue (US site at least).

IIRC most of the codices/army books over the last 18+ months have had their codex pulled from shelfs about a month+ out from release.

I think GW realizes that people will want demonic allies for their CSM so they're making sure the Demon models are ready. I'm a bit dissapointed CSM isn't sooner but I also like demons (Hopefully they'll be playable in 40k eventually!)

I still think it might be CSM.
The still pics are of deamons but there were 4 pics.
The pictures shown was a cool ass pic from each of the four gods.
It could just represent the ruinous powers stirring about to send forth thier champions( CSM)
The sky hasnt fell yet
