Rumored Demons release would bum me out a little if it meant that codex CSM was pushed back. However the new rumors of plague bearers and nurglings sound great.

Also. I wait eagerly to see all the new demon engins except for the (what sounds really stupid) dragon flyer model. Hope for the best but if GW waffles on this i wont be too surprised.

Mauler close combat oblits? Hmm. this could be pretty amazing and if they come in boxes of three with swappable weapon options so that you can make oblits or maulers i will be super stoked. even if i have to slaughter my firstborn to get my hands on some.

Unless they update the rules for nurglings and plague bearers the end result is who cares. They were good in 5th but are lackluster to say the least in 6th.

If they gave Plaguebearers 4+ FNP and make them plastic instead of finecast and give us new sculpts GW can have my wallet.

I want you all to please notice that it was only the Erazmus guy that said Chaos Marines won't be till later. The guy on Reddit never said there weren't any Chaos Marines in the new WD, or coming sooner rather than later. He only says that next month shows a librarian fighting a chaos marine, which suggests the starter box.

The number of sources that say August for CSM is much greater than those that say September, and greater still of those that say October (of which I've only seen 2 sources).

I'll keep hoping until I have the WD fully leaked or in my hands.

I really, really want to see a new plastic Chaos Dreadnought after all these years. The only tiny Chaos Dread was better than what CSM have now.

Preferred enemy Spacemarines?
Not sure how the new Prefered enemy rules work. Maybe preferred enemy Loyalist factions. who knows, either way if CSM finally get a dex that can hold its own i will be totally stoked.
BTW Panic. I couldnt agree more. Fluff outways mathhammer anyday. Thats how i came to have about thirty ripper swarms. They NEVER did anything in any game i ever used them in but i just loved the thought of a swarm of little gribblies pouring over the battle field consuming everything.

Nah, the Hartred rules from Fantasy is now in 40k. So it has to mean All Chaos marines get Hatred when fighting C:SM, SW, BA, BT, DA. I don't know if GK count though

Hmm. well i guess its a good thing i just bought the demons codex. its gonna get here tomorrow. Maybe invalidated before i have a chance to read it. Nice.

Last time I checked the tear in the warp in Fantasy was in the North.

I'd say it's a 40K Chaos teaser.

Well, this is interesting. Out of all the chaos rumors I've heard in the past 6 months, not even 1 percent of them said anything Daemon related.

GW could be @#^&ing with the CSM players who waited years for this and it means Chaos and not just Daemons, yet they want to troll us for the Hell of it.

however:

chaos daemons and dark angels starter box would fit the trend of previous starter boxes, AND go along with "chaos" like rumors. plus, we wouldnt have 2 power armor armies in the same starter box. - and arent dark angels supposed to be pretty heavy into the anti-daemon?

IF GW intentionally planned to make everyone thing CSM were next with whatever false rumors there are, and was able to keep such a tight lid on Daemons being next. Then they really got their act together keeping secrets. They also have probably pissed off most the CSM fanbase. I wouldn't be surprised if many of them rage quit GW now.

Which means that we have no need for a new CSM codex if the stats for cultists are all thats needed and they have no special rules. Good luck getting me to buy that damned thing if CSM are not updated before the starter.

At this point I'm so angry and dissapointed, I'd rather set my money on fire than buy any of that Daemon crap or the box set if they really do pull this and push back CSM till after the box set.

Why do we need a demon update anyway, no hype at all for them.

Lets give them new models for demons, than update the armies as soon as possible that will be in the starter set. Logic....

edit: Wouldnt mind the fact that they would just be pushed back a month, but its now that most things have been pushed back further due to the stater set and hobbit.

I was able to make out 3 Daemons in the video:

First one some Nurgle affiliate looking all wormy & tangly...

Second a Plaguebearer I think.

Third a (two-headed?) Slaanesh (greater?) Daemon?

A bit sad that they seem to have pushed back the Chaos codex, but on the other hand I am almost done buying whatever I still want for my Necrons, so there would be no Chaotic temptations to buy other new stuff in the meantime.

Now now, daemons and csm are best buddies. Good things for daemons mean good things for CSM as well.

Hope the deamons get plenty of upgrades.

Anyway, there is still some possibility that more CSM rumors might surface despite the codex being released in october.
