I think my very first post in this thread was basically "I'm a fat bastard. I could lose weight if I wanted to, but I love to eat and I don't work out enough. It's my own fault."
I just realize that my own personal experience is not indicative of the trend that the entire western world is experiencing

Unsweet tea, water, and juice is just fine.

I like the sweet soda, although artificial is probably my preferred for sweetness. Real sugar soda is too sweet for me.
I prefer unsweet iced tea to sweet tea though, especially with some lemon.
Hot tea gets a spoon of sugar or some honey.
Oh, and lots of Alcohol. But we make our choices...
I make my own alcohol, so it's healthy because it's home made

Drinking water ice cold or chilled helps out alot as well in terms of taste ( IMO, clearly). Remember, Soda by itself is bad.
Soda + Alcohol, now that's a different story!

Seriously d-usa, quit sugar.
you don't need it.
you'll feel better without it. ( I'm an addict on many levels and I can attest to this one 100%)
take all sugar out of your diet, substitute with stivia sweetened, no milk tea. walk for 1/2 an hour every 2 days.
Do not eat anything sugary or attempted sugary- what you are trying to do is eliminate your bodys response to fat and sugar , most like fat and sugar together (THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO KILL).
The stivia is a means to an end, not an end in itself.'
Fat and sugar together are your enemies, eat a pineapple, munch a mmango, eat an orange......what are we seeing here....unprocessed food. processed food has either high fat or high sugar or high sodium. choose neither.
Real food tastes better.
I've been doing this for about 8 months now and i find sugar tastes weird and makes me feel sluggish.

If your're someone who drinks a lot of soda, the easiest way to lose weight is to cut out soda. It's so simple and it works.

While it's hard to get cheaper than the gakky $1, good protein can be had for pretty close to that per meal.
Our market sells bone in chicken breast for 2.99/lb. You get two 8 Oz chicken breasts out of it. I've actually started getting it (and full chickens) instead of boneless skinless because It takes me less than 2 minutes to breakdown a chicken and it saves me about $2/lb for chicken. Highly recommend it.

LOL who cares? This is america and more regulation and rules are stupid as feth! Some of the post here talk like making a "WAR" on obesity is the way to go when in reality your proposing that we should make laws on eating food what people want! Also the outdated system of how they measure people with obesity is hilarious just watch penn and tellers BS on it and you will be enlightened.
Main point is this is america we should have as many freedoms as we want the only rules that are forefathers said was.
Do whatever you want to your body just make sure you endanger no one else when you do it (like i think drugs should be legal not only because are prisons are overpopulated with people who smoke pot. But because who cares as long as me and my family are in no danger from drunk or drugged people behind the wheel of a car)
The thing i will say is I think its wrong for corporation to sell substance that have addicting properties like some fast food restaurants have.

Naw. It's from local grociers at Findlay market, which is one of the older downtown markets in the US. Boneless, skinless Amish chicken breast there is $4.89 a lb. I bought some bacon for my wife which was like, 5.30 a lb. All locally sourced stuff.

You can get boneless chicken breast at Sam's for $1.88 a pound around here, as of the other day. Source: my wife
I'm more taken aback by the idea you can break down a chicken in 2 minutes. I clearly need more practice because it takes me at least 10 or so. I don't own a cleaver though, so I'm guessing that's a lot of the difference, perhaps.

Two things. Chicken thighs are cheaper than chicken breasts. I think they might even be the cheapest source of protein out there.
