So I'm feeling frivolous this morning... With the sudden rush towards all things Stormavian I was trying to come up with other variants.

Stormpenguin - Designed for use on iceworlds (if they can be properly adapted to the cold)

Stormkiwi - When planets have no atmosphere or winds that are too high or something, they fit wheels and they become ground based light armoured vehicles.

Stormdodo - A rare variant that hasn't been produced for a century or two due to a lost forgeworld

Stormemu - is a walker that has wings, but cannot fly.

Stormcockatoo - uses loud sonic weaponry to confuse enemies. Has no transport capacity, but carries some very dangerous bombs.

Stormswallow - has two variants, each with a different air-speed velocity when unladen.

Stormpidgeon - The transport capacity is completely replaced by spacious bomb bays.

Stormseagull. Good for low level flights to steal the enemies chips.

Stormpidgeon Mk II - ends up being cheaper to produce than the Rhino and so flocks of them turn up absolutely everywhere. Also, poor landing mechanisms mean that they often have one damaged or missing landing gear.

Stormbudgie: small and fast moving, distracts enemies.

Stormostrich: similar to Stormemu (see above) but with an added stealth mode (buries its cockpit in the sand).

Stormchicken: according to Tyranids every other Imperial vehicle tastes like this.

Stormderp - it's just a brick (literally) festooned with engines and weaponry.

Stormarcheopteryx=The first SM flyer. HAs to land when ever it is done flying and cant flyer more then a couple of meters.

StormStorm- The first Imperial flyer to be outfitted with stolen Necron tesla technology...

StormFeather- Super light aircraft, carries a bolt pistol for weaponry but it's main weapon is speed... somehow...

StormBeak- Made using Tyranid bio-technology, can eat opposing units.

Also I think the Stormbudgie can also be used in a secondary scouting role, especially in large underground caverns. If it explodes there is something dangerous out there!

Storm Bees - Bikes with engines like that of the Storm Talon disproportionally attached to not only allow for fast Aerial combat and deployment but to create a noise as disharmonious and threatening as a swarm of angry bees.

Stormfalcon

Has almost FTL speed but is very fragile and easy to destroy. Arms with only a single weapon, a spiked impaler, but combined with its speed it can form a deadly weapon.

When conducting a ram attack, the any unit embarked on the enemy skimmer must pass and Int test or be removed from play, wounded irrepairably by a massive spike.

Almost FTL engines
The stormfalcon must always move at least 24" but may move any number of inches per turn. Due to the speed of the SF, if it ends its move facing a building and within 6" of it, it crashes.and is removed. It may not pivot in its move or after but may pivot before moving.

In addition, the primary function of the engines is to grant it speed as to tackle enemy aircraft. A SF can make a special ram attack against any enemy Stormravens, Valkeries, Vendettas, Razorwing Jetfighters, Voidraven Bombs, Stormtalons, Dakkajets, Burna Bommers, Blitza Bommers, Night Scythes or Doom Scythe, or any vehicle with the Flyer Special Rule. Any immobilised result will destroy the opposing skimmer(wrecked). Super Heavy Flyers instead suffer a Chain Reaction as per their damage chart.

Lightly Armour
The Stormfalcon counts as being open topped.

Stormnaught Gray knight winged exoskeleton that looks stupid bit kills everyone

StormCrow, all it does is create a loud awkward yell/scream that annoys enemies while they are sleeping in the morning.

Stormwhippoorwill:

uses sonic weaponry that annoys the enemy to death

Stormtebow

does nothing for the first 5 turns but if it survives to turn 6 you win the game as the emperor funnels his might through Tebow's guns


Stormpelican

Capable of scooping up eintire platoons of guardsmen at a time

Stormcardinals

Fast as hell but ultimately fails to meet the hype


Stormbear

Its a bear, with jets strapped to it, enemies must be drenched in honey for optimal results

Stormhonybadger.

Squadrons of 1-10 Honey Badgers. Have Supersonic Special Rules. Are actually honey badgers.

CAUTION! for optimal results use a honey bombardment prior to assault by SHBs. Do not get honey on allies.

Based on the Greyknight's Dreadknight it got: 2 super powerfull jetpacks, 2 big hands wich it use to slap everyone who's not ''nice'' to him !

Trolling for the EMPRAH

Stormowl - can move really fast and looks aerodynamic when flying. Has a hover mode where the body turns vertical, and the entire nose section turns into a ridiculously proportioned turret. It has extra searchlights.

Stormsquirrel - a dreadnought that deploys wings between it's limbs when it jumps off of high places such as cliffs and trees, and can glide. Blood angels invented them to compliment stormraven jump-infantry assaults.

Stormward: destroy any cool fluff you got on your table!

Storm Space Marine - known mostly through some degenerate backwards lingo as "Assault Marines" (geez, who's the genius who came up with that?), they are fitted with High Powered thrusters to leap them closer into the fray to quicker catch and/or neutralize targets in close quarters combat.
