Bah... the ever unhappy to-paint list  Currently standing at: 12 or so Terminator equivalents 3 bikes 1 buggy thing a Vindicator counts-as A dreadnought counts-as 3 sentinel counts-as 1 hydra 2 converted Russes 3 Chimeras 30 or so guardsmen 4 or 5 crisis suits 6 stealthsuits 12 or so fire warriors Various objectives Even thinking about the list gets depressing Oh well, the only way is to get cracking! My immediate subjects are a terminator sergeant conversion and a Medic conversion for my Terranwing.

That is a lot of minis, both of you are painting and I'm sure like me you end up buying more models before painting any of those on that list.
I don't play any of the games I just paint so it's generally I see a model I like and want to paint and I end up doing some research on model and best place to get cheapest price and buy it.
I'm looking forward to the Mauser Earth, SMOG and Reaper models to paint.
I have already painted a Mantic Raptor so will leave that till later on I think.

I find I much prefer converting than painting. Sometimes I get worried that the paint job will ruin the time and effort spent on modelling The other big issue is, of course, getting the time to actually sit down and put paint to brush...

The fun part of working with lead is getting them ready for painting. "Let me just file off some of this flash ZIPPPPPP! oh, this is a lot softer then the metal they use these days..."
