Hi everyone,
Hi-Tech miniatures is back with a batch of four new models. As with most Hi-Tech miniatures they’re fantastic looking models but have one detail that just makes them a little too OTT for our liking, be it the massive shark-fin brushes or the weird boobs sticking out of their female Terminator.
Despite the ribbing I give them I actually like Hi-Tech quite a bit. Their Ad Mech Terminator guys are awesome, and I use ‘em as Ordo Reductor troops.
Anyway, here we have four new releases, three of which are interesting, and one of which is jaw-droppingly-I-must-order-it-right-now awesome.
First up is Katja ( “In the dark grimness of the 41st millennium... your hair hangs out the back of your armour!”):
Can’t say I’m a fan of this one.
And then Archfather Proturbo (‘cause copyright be damned!):
I’m leaning towards liking that one. Might make a good Reductor commander type guy.
Next up is Samael (not your average master of the raven wing):
This is what I mean about that one little detail that pushes it over the edge. I’d like this model without the wings.
And then finally Exhorder Prime (aka ohmygodwhatthefrackisthat!):
I must own that model... I must. It’s too awesome.

I could see me getting the Black widow, however she is going to have some green stuff happening on those webs.

No, spraying three colors on your minis does not count as painted! 5k+

The webs? What about the exposed cleavage? (Or head, for that matter?)
This tactical dreadnaught armor really lifts and separates.

It is the fact that with her hair and such, she has an almost female dwarf art look to her (my opinion) , that and I do not like the webs, the cleavage is just funny.

I'm a big fan of their not-Obliterator models. I wonder if they'll make not-Mutilators now.

They all look pretty mediocre, but god damn, that female comander is terrible. That cleavage is hilariously bad. Do her boobs start right at the bottom of her neck or something? Or does she just happen to have the pushiest push up bra in the history of the (not) 41st millennium?

She has the best anti-gravatic technology that could be made. It was found by a Mechanicus priest named Otto Titsling.

They look like what would happen if scibor had a 12 year old kid who also sculpts.
Absolutely bonkers, and not in a good way.

Not a fan of Hi Tech's minis generally, but that bike is actually bonkers enough to work for me. It's just a giant jet turbine with a rider clinging on. Replace the rider with a decent miniature, and it would look better than the giant flying phalluses that Forgeworld are releasing.

Another swing and a miss. To paraphrase Agamemnon2, their record remains untainted by success.
It's a little more galling then with WGF since so many of these models are almost awesome.

I guess a lot of this is subjective....
I think most of them are exceptionally creative and cool.
Now, I can't see much use for them in any of my armies...(maybe the first one is a REALLY tough commander shadowsun....).
To each their own...
