Ahem, now that I have your attention I need some advice. I'm thinking of buying some Empire Greatswords and modelling the fur hats, putting lasguns on them and using them as Vostroyan Stromtroopers. What does Dakka think on how they'd look?

That might not look half bad sir! Not too sure what the arms and legs are like on the great swords as some of the empire stuff is a little frilley

The basic model sounds interesting, but I would suggest something other than normal lasguns. You need somthing that fits the ornate ideal of the Vostroyans and the more heavy duty feel of the Stormtroopers hot-shot lasguns.

If you don't mind me asking, what would you use instead, for the more ornamental rifle look.

You could use the outward pointing lasguns from the chimera? They are kind of ornamental and different. You could also use empire handgunners rifles, and replace the barrel with the barrel from normal lasguns.Just a few ideas.

Don't victora minitures do a sort of long musket lasgun?

Do the Empire still get repeater handguns? It looks like you can get them on the Outriders sprue. You could easily add a backpack or a heavy box-mag to act as the heavier weapons that stormtroopers get.

Also, damn, these guys are asking to be used as Vostroyan veteran sergeants or officers
