B.) It looks like the doors on the pods aren't reinforced.
C.) Being made of steel in case of nuclear war those things are radioactive death traps waiting to happen.
D.) These things are in general Death Traps waiting to happen.

I don't think it's meant for Nuclear War - I think it's meant for Natural Disasters like it says.

Personally, I'd have had the inner door bulkier, and use a cantilever hinge, the outer door reinforced, and a section that could be 'opened' (by pushing out say, a foot wide cylinder) with air filters in to allow airflow.

The idea is there, it just didn't get designed well enough...

I wonder how many people would just take their shoes off, and recline on a grassy hill in the event of a disaster? That's what I would do.

I read in German news that he doesn't "know" for certain that the world will go down, but he says it's better to be prepepared for it and it doesn't happen, than not to be prepared and it does.

Also, he says they can be used as lifeboats too, so he will try to sell them in case the world does not end in a week.

I dunno. I guess it depends on the situation, but it sounds right along the lines of "kraut" and "[see forum posting rules]" and things like that, ie, offensive and tasteless. I wouldn't use it, but it is oddly descriptive.

Yeah, see, dakka censors it, which makes complete sense. Just assume it's a nasty word.
