Hello folks, hope your all keeping well! I thought I would post something a little different, this is a model I made for one of our customers. It is a Replica of Carentan from the TV series Band of Brothers. It has been made for 20mm WW2 wargaming.

I tried to add alot of detail (working with the budget of the Customer) and make it simular to the film, I wanted to make something that helped the wargamer relate to the Brave USA forces whom fought in the War. I make alot of WW2 terrain but never tend to post it on here.

That is a fantastic piece! In future though please play closer attention to the posting guidelines in each section, as this belongs in showcase or painting and modeling blogs if you will be showing work on an ongoing basis. Which I certainly hope is the case!

if i'm not mistaken isn't this the same layout as the Carentan map in Call of Duty 2? That was my favorite map in that game and the whole thing lines up perfectly... would be fun as hell to play on this

wow, i would love to get my hands on that. Even if it isnt very 40k-like i would still use it. Least for small games, its a bit clustered for larger ones.

Absolutely brilliant piece of model making! It's a few years since I have seen the show, but I can still pick out the window there where the Germans had the HMG set up! Wonderful stuff

I shall try to answer everyones questions:

Yes I did base this on a Call of Duty Map, the customer whom requested this model sent me pictures of the map. so I based it upon the map, but used stills form the film to try and get the film feel to it.

Well I haven't made anything else like this - yet. I have made a moduar French Village however which is simular

As for where the buildings came from they are all scratch built.

As for what kind of game is played on this board (I don't actually own it, it is a commisoned piece of work) I don't know, except that it is 20mm WW2.
