Unfortunately the IG book doesn't have a flat image of the banner, only it on the model.

Fantastic!! Work on that ork Weety. Brings back memories it does. Youve got such a unique approach to color. Are you a professional artist or painter? Back on those mechanicus ffigures, the blues and red in the skin tones....why? is that just how you see it or is there a deeper reason for them? i love it but im curious as to your thought process when imagining something like that. I even see unique tones in the ork blade.

I think so beepbopdrums2424 I even have a degree to prove it. I specialised in contemporary crafts. And I've always liked painting and drawing. There's some art in my gallery that I thought was vaguely relevant if you want to have a look.

Thought process... hmmm. Well I wanted them to look a little bit dead, but the blue on its own looks too dead. The red was to make the skin look sore and alive. It was a cherry red i used so it blends well with blue. And that contrasts well with the yellow which I think makes them eyecatching.

Looking at it again I don't think that gazgul's sword is finished really. Needs more work

In other news, weety, I've found the bits to make the bases for the Commissar and QM, so I'm putting them together tonight. Should have them painted this week, and hopefully in the post by Friday.

I'm going to check the second QM, but the first one has a couple of mould lines down the chest detail - do you want me to do clean-up, or leave it to you?

That's really good news dysartes I'm looking forward to painting those. They're amazingly detailed models.

If you feel confident about putting a knife to such nice models then go for it but if you do feel like letting me do it I will. I've got a plethora of tiny blades and files for the job.

I'm not sure its fair for me to enter the warrior priest into the nerdcademy competition, which is a shame cos he has the bestest face. But its a commission piece and I didn't paint it with the competition in mind. So maybe I will enter yarrick. He doesn't have much face on display but I can make what's there look good. What does anyone think bout that?

Now some work on the power claw. I'm not sure if it quite shouts enough - maybe it needs yellow.

Hmmm I quite like the crustacean looking red claw...butof course hazard strips never go out of fashion...
And bbuying your yarek would solve one problem and bring two more...my rent and a still unpainted yarek

Very nice weets... the little crackles on the claw are wonderful and the colors are jumping quite nicely off the grey.

Apparently printers need ink and a cable to attach them to the computer so I have to draw the flag or print it in the library tomorrow. Drawing flags is hard. I think I need another few tries at this:

Today my holiday is over and I have to go back to my boring till and sell boring things to people who are often boring. If you do just one good thing today, liven up the day of a checkout slave by falling over in a slapstick way, go shopping in fancy dress, ask me where the condoms are, anything to make it less dull!

Back later on to try more tiny flag drawing. I'm sure its possible I just need smaller hands.

I dunno if your serious or just fishing for compliments here. Banner looks brilliant, it has everything: drama, great pose, and a slight comic content to the scene... The torn arm of the commissary reminds me of the monty python black knight, fighting on as its only but a scratch...
