As for the Kans panicking. After looking 25% roll a D6 (+1 if more than 3 kans left, +1 for deff dred being in 6 inches). On a 3+ everything is fine, On a 1-2 they are all shaken

So 5 Kans seems optimal? (is 6 the max unit?)

Lose one, nothing happens - no test.
Lose two, take a test but with 3 remaining you get a +1, so on 2+ all is ok.
Lose 3, take a test, default roll of 3+ needed.

Obviously if you have a Deff within 6" it changes the above?

That's been the modus operandi for the entirety of 6th edition already, hasn't it? Copy/paste the previous codex, nerf the most popular build, make some minor tweaks and shoehorn in the 3 new plastic models. Done.

Also the Killa Kans got more expensive. 25% more expensive for the big shoota variant

Uhm, does the rule of "1 always fails" affect them?
Or if you roll and 1 can you add the +1?

The way it reads if Kans have 3 left, and a Dred next to them it is impossible for them to panic (1+2 = 3, so no panic)

Deff Dred got cheaper by 1 big shoota, and its rokkits are a few exchange. All its weapon options are now cheaper too.

Any overall tricks you're picking up Mel?

For the price of an old Deff Dred with 2 x Rokkits you can get a new Deff Dred with 2 x Kustom Mega Blastas and Grot Riggers.

Still learning, it will not die Kan mobs (5 point for riggers) and Dreds seems pretty cool.

Mega Armour can be paired with KFF, definately nice.

Painboy is a HQ so pick and choose where you want him (in a 30 boy squad? Or in a 15 man bike squad)

Shootaboyz have BS like choppaboyz?

Storm Boys are now cheaper, and can be in Mobs of 30, no longer kill themselves unless they do their new 2D6 run (they take dangerous terrain tests for doing so)

In that case, i'll still use his rules! No one can stop me from using my outdated Wazdakka rules!

In post nothing sounds good, but can't be for sure until someone playtests them. Overall underwhelming and disappointing though.

80 Point Deff Dred, comes with 2 big shootas, rokkit are a free exchange. KMB are +5 point Exchange. Riggers are 10 points
