Thanks guys for the input Anyone else?
If I go dirty which by the look of things that is the popular vote, I am thinking about maybe nurgle tentacles coming out of it ! What do you guys think? and how would I achieve that?
Here are some links http://www.maxmini.eu/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=12&products_id=64 or http://cgi.ebay.com/Warhammer-40K-Bits-Chaos-Spawn-Nurgle-Insect-Arms-x-2-/250698278806?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item3a5ec82796
Feedback wanted and needed for this one!
Thanks again,

Well the way I picture your city from your other projects, it is an abandoned imperial city. I would think the fountain would look like a pool no one takes care of more then chaos tainted.

I was also thinking along the same lines as whalemusic....ruined imperial city not chaos tainted.
Actually what armies do you have?

I'm thinking of an overgrown mold-monster. In that case, I think you could make the water opaque, so it's ambiguous how deep the fountain is, and I would make the tentacles very subtle, so anyone looking at your terrain would have to look hard to notive that there is something lurking in your water.
What do you think?

That sounds pretty cool... maybe one small tendril hooked over the side of the fountain as if reaching for something?
And I suggest purple with pink spots for the monster

Looks pretty cool to me... though you might need a simpler image of the Emp in order to get the tiles to actually look like the image; unless you use really small tiles I guess

Sounds like a great idea. I was about to suggest something like the swamp in the lord of the rings with the ghostly apparitions at the bottom, but like this idea more.
If I ever make it to visit my cousin in Glen Burnie, I expect an invite to play on this bad ass table

Dude, when ever you are down here I am totally game! Although we would have to wait til Lauren and I move into a bigger place before my table is set up!

G'day - Not sure if this appeals, but I used the tentacles from old tryranid bio-spores (which no-one wanted there cos they sucked tactically for a long time) on a base ( http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/28905-Chaos%2C%20Chaos%20Space%20Marines%2C%20Daemon%20Prince%2C%20Work%20In%20Progress.html).
I then added some skaven rats tails.
Just a suggestion - I look forward to what you come up with!

Mosaic Time
I am going to cut these to fit but this will be the over all look. Two Aquilas around the pool or the emperor on one side and the aquila on the other. After I print these out and cut them to fit I will have a better feel for the lay out. This was pretty fun to make and produced a pretty cool effect!
What do you think?

Mosaic is a great effect - I like it!
And the base was finished some time ago... ( http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/31310-.html if your interested)
Your thread is starting to motivate me for some terrain work... damn, I have too many projects already!

It may very well be to big right now! I fear that I will need to shrink it down by about 15% so we will see what happens I will be using the aquilas for he bottom of the fountain and the emperor will be in the entrance way. It should be pretty cool when I am all finished with it, stay tuned and thanks for the comment

Thanks for the comments guys I am glad you like my city. Make yourselves at home and keep the comments and suggestions coming.
I do have a question for you all though
Should I keep the skulls on the RoB Board or spackle over them? Or should I leave a few and spackle over the majority of them?

I vote for getting rid of the ground skulls- they've always, ALWAYS, been extremely out of place unless on some sort of daemony field. Sure it maybe be the grimdarkness of a dying future, but skull pits? Really? And... where are the rest of the bodies? Why is Soylent Green so delicious? Tune in next week to find out.
