In terms of points-to-power ratio?
Either Necron Lychguard or Sister of Battle Celestians.
Celestians pay an extra 4 points/model for an extra attack and the ability to be taken in squads of 5, have a close combat special ability that makes them just as effective as an Assault Marine (who is 1 point cheaper) only more fragile and with no melee weapon options.
5 Lychguard are 200 points without any wargear and die like flies to AP3.

I've never heard anyone call nob bikers a glass cannon. Those things are fething tough.

The highest points cost models I've had on the table are Calgar at 265 points, and LRC with Blessed Hull + Dozer Blade at... 295 points IIRC.
As a spectator saw a 350-point Daemon Prince shortly after the new Codex was released. It proceeded to kill something like 6 terminators, 10+ footslogging Death Company, 5 jump pack DC, Astorath, Reclusiarch (with all DC + both HQs getting to charge it), Lasplas Razorback, and LS Typhoon. Iron Arm is friggin' off the charts for survivability.

Dp's in the new daemon book, can cost a large sum of pts ( I was using a couple that cost around 340pts each) but they dish out some mean damage while having some good survivability and utility.

Played against a Farsight Bomb in a 1500 pt tournament. Not sure how much it cost altogether, but the rest of the army consisted of only 2x6 Firewarriors and 2 Broadsides. So... a lot?
The 3x Tz. Herald + 20 Pink Horror squad I'm currently running costs me 555, which is twice as expensive as any unit I've ever run. Not sure if it's a point sink or not yet, but at the very least it's fun.

I find it hard to believe anyone would actually do this and model them correctly.
I can't recall the worst points sink I've seen, but I see a fair amount of excessive "killy" HQs end up amounting to nothing on the battlefield. I've done that as well myself...

Right now i think my biggest point sink would be my Defilers.
Expensive and (on paper at least) tough. In practice though - always dead by end of turn 2. Automatically Appended Next Post:
They are expensive but that squad alone will probably win you the game. Death Company are insanely nasty. Especially if you do what my friend does and thrown in a Sanguinary priest for FNP with every....single....squad. Nightmare.

Draigo and Friends don't really qualify as a point sink as they bounce small arms fire like its nothing and can wipe the floor with most units in melee effortlessly.

Member of a Lodge? I Can't Say
|
I have a unit of 10 chaos terminators for my World Eaters that comes to 553 points. They rarely see table time though.
|
“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

As a Tau man - I would find this HILARIOUS!!!! If I tabled that - you better keep EVERY squad out of their range...cause whatever it shoots will die or kiss dirt like a lover by the end of my shooting phase... lol
Now - if we are asking aboutn a true point sink - where the amount of points you pay =/= points that they will kill....
The lychguard from above is prob the worst I have seen. Or a fully kitted out truck carrying 10 boys....that truck aint gonna do anything but es-plode

Daemon Princes are certainly up there, depending on how you run them. Daemon Prince of Nurgle with Psychic Mastery 2, Armor, Wings, and a Black Mace? That's a huge chunk of points that can be wasted in one shot by an S10 weapon, since they don't have Eternal Warrior.
I'd also like to say Thousand Sons. Expensive as hell, and all they really get is an AP3 bolter and a 4++ save, as well as the debuff of SaP. Good, but meh.

Wouldn't a Nurgle DP be T6? An therefore immune to ID by virtue of never being hit by a double toughness shot?

I one time had a 1200pt Space Wolves Terminator Deathstar... which proceeded to get blown off the table by a Voidstrike Missile.
To be fair, the guy we played against cheated and said that his regular Deathstrike Missile Launcher was the Voidstrike, so we ended up wasting all our firepower on the wrong gun. Oh well, despite that massive handicap, we still managed to tie the game.
