Given the rumors about a new guard codex, I suspect there may be more 'new' vehicles coming. One of them may not be ugly, so you may want to hold off on getting that taurox.
If you want an armored truck, how about basing something off the land rover? I think we've seen that can make for a nice project

Taurox at the GW site it has a bank vault door for the back entry/exit
My Orks might make something of it, but I can scratch a better battlewagon than that Taurox

The hydra looks sexy from the pics I've seen. The rumors still hadn't found out if there is a second build to it or not. I think hydra/basilisk as the new hydra is an open top with crew compartment similar to old basi kit.

Could have also tossed the medusa in there for a cheap triple kit if that's the case. Unless it already exists somewhere, I've no idea.
Although they then could just come up with some new vehicle which plays off of it easy and is more infantry horde focused. Or just have it standalone, which is pretty unlikely.

Yeah the Wyvern..It has quad mortar-looking guns..which is impressive. Mortars are a Guard General's friend.

I always wondered if a scratch built contest should have a build a taurox as you imagine it theme to it... well...I guess many will do that anyway, eh?^^...
just saw the news thread, again... apart from the hopefully multi part kit of the ogryns nothing strikes me as a must have...well I would like me some bitz of the new stormtroopers for conversions... but probably not the whole kit... the torsos are not really my thing...even if I use empire kits I will probably get the same look for less money?

Wyvern=chimera with Thudd-guns
Vik, the hotshot lasguns need packs and cables, but anyone with skills can do that. Only 5 toros, 5 legs, 10 heads
Makes 5 man units, and leaves so much bits left over. I have a lot of defiance games legs left over that decent Torso(Mad robot???) I could use the heads and spare weapons with. But that can get to be an odd army.

Stick of dynamite. Afterwards you can't tell if it was a duckling or a swan.
Dave, how about another gijoe jeep turned half track, you could make a dozen for the same price.

We call ourselves Grognards, good sir. And do so proudly.
Taurox, what a name Sounds like a cleaning product.
If you want a half track or other light APC like this, I would start with the MRAP or one of its variants. Way cooler than this thing.

I dunno Theo..that thing is cool and all, but it looks oversized, and I don't like the wheels...or the rear-view mirrors. It looks more like the ride that someone like Inquisitor Eisenhorn would use than Guard.

I've been toying with h idea of doing a necromunda genestealer cult. This would be a rocking purple limo for them. I plan on removing he rear view mirrors and just putting on some pimp like diplomatic flags or something along those lines. If I don't do genestealers then definitely arbites .
