That's the part I have no problem with at all.
He's the deep cover operative who lets the spec ops team into the lab (or whatever) and then has to blow his cover when things go bad.
Obviously theyre taking some liberties by having him in Yu Jing armour, but they seem to be making some effort to make minis easier to identify on the board so it makes sense.
One of the most refreshing things about Infinity is that most of these conflicts aren't necessarily happening in war zones at all. Yes there are aliens and giant robots, but sometimes you just have to kidnap a CFO and need access to his heavily guarded office building.

That's not a pistol.

That's the Yu Jing Chain Colt--basically a small weapon firing a template of monofilament death.

Yeah, it's like a flamethrower, but it shoots hot razor sharp shrapnel instead of fire.

Cool! Not super relevant to the sculpting as it still is a "gun" in his "hand" and I do think it looks pretty sweet, but nice to have that little tidbit of uh.. fluff. Not sure shrapnel would really threaten a Cutter. Or an Iguana. Or Geckos. Or the Anathematic. Or Maruts. It might hurt a Gorgos and it's great for CQ fighting against regular humans, but even the regular guys are running around in Powered Armor. I thought I would illustrate that point with a clever witticism about those giant robots we all know and love.

I'd rather they had the odd model with pistols and stuff out, as opposed to every guy having their rifle or whatever. Makes it a bit more varied. And I think fluff wise the majority of the battles in Infinity is just small black ops style skirmishes; one small team against another, most of the time humans, most of the time not involving robots or aliens. He has other weapons, this is just sculpted when he's at a point where his Chain Colt is the right weapon.

You must really hate Black Widow in the Avengers movies... Gods, Flying Armoured playboy, giant green monster....girl with a pistol.

Yeah... I'm finding this guy a little off-putting, but he'll make a fine High Value Target.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing the Infinity setting expand and acknowledge their universe doesn't "know only war".

If chain colt was actually a monofilament weapon it would wreck all of those TAGs. Sadly it is not... Just a template pistol.

I actually like this model, but I won't exactly be running out to grab one.

Do we have any idea what the profile will be for this bloke?
His description leads me to believe he just might have impersonation. However the vid clips make me think it might be Holo2

Pretty sure that's going to be a focus of the RPG, from the descriptions of faction books that Modiphius has been using, and their intent to avoid material covered by the tabletop game.

I'm thinking the same - great to use for scenario based play. Imagine some Speculo Killer or Hassassin diving in there to take out a high-ranking officer.

Forward deployment L2. Is that something we should expect in N3:HS?

Am I the only one here who really likes this guy?
Seems like a cheaper alternative to the oniwaban if you're looking for a unit to get in close with monofilament CCW or boarding shotty.
I don't have much experience using Holoprojector, but anything that lets you bluff like that can be super useful.
Interested to see what "killer hacking device" entails

Cheaper and possibly even better, if the rumours on hacker killer device are to be trusted.

Down Under

Looks to be 3 points cheaper on the Profiles shown above and with no SWC.

Honestly I see it as streamline of the Assault Hacker, maybe all it has is the 'kill' options.
So "Brain Blast" or "Sucker Punch" (someone managed to rewire an EI hacking device for limited effect?) so that you can kill hackers

Perhaps they might add one that causes structure damage as well? I can only hope.

Glory is fleeting. Obscurity is forever.

That or more likely they are doing what the did for the other books before the preorder goes up.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.
Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor.

If so, it means the Tohaa have been moved to HS. I cannot recall hearing if this would happen.

Pre-Orders should begin fairly soon, if the book will actually be available at Adepticon in 21 days.

Well when they told us about HSN3 they said both HS and Paradiso would be covered in it minus the campaign only stuff. So we have know since day one Tohaa and the Greek sectional would be in it and the fluff covering both.

The stuff from Campaign Paradiso, apart from the campaign, is being moved to HSN3.

They've also said that the early Tohaa stuff they've released special rules for, like the Carathar(?) pheromone powers, were only a teaser for what would be in Human Sphere. There's little point putting Tohaa special rules in Human Sphere if they weren't putting Tohaa as a whole in there.

Nice, the first thought I had on a miniature is of an alien harbinger vibe, love the glaive weapon he has, as well the dynamic of floating across the terrain. This is going to be a treat for talented painters.

Interesting! Looks like a more badass version of Nightbringer.

I wonder what special abilities he will have to represent the floating thing.
