Which I already pointed out. Here's my quote if you overlooked it...

While one only has to purchase one of the heroes in these WD articles, if that's all they wish,

Dark Water is so far a departure from a game of quests to that of solo-coop skirmishing. I'm not sure why they're introducing a series of mini-codices for each AOS faction, when Warhammer Quest is supposed to be narrative focused. The article series doesn't hurt the game but as I illustrated in my example, its not engaging with the narrative of the Jade Abby nor the progression of the characters in the core game.

I don't mind if this is what GW wants from the series going forward, where AOS is concerned, but I think it's best to rename it and let Warhammer Quest itself return to it's TOW setting - where it can be itself once again.

Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

Eh? You're reading far too hard into simple little article additions through WD. If you're that worried about the narrative, wait until they put out actual expansions, then you'll get what you want. I fail to see how kicking it to that other game makes an iota of difference.

I think these new playable characters are aimed at people that haven't bought the game, but have armies for AoS. If you don't like the heroes in the box, you won;t buy it, but if you can use the models you already have, maybe you'll be a little tempted.
