I've decided that I'm not going to run that second figure. Just set it on the table in my deployment zone and make them look at it the whole game. Maybe use it as an objective.
As for naming the fig or the spawn, that falls wholly into the Fluff column. I sculpt dildos on Genestealer foreheads. I'm not exactly sure thats canon.

The owner of the FLGS, which does better 40k business than the GW stores, has had complaints, as such, that a guy wanted a flat out return, and he granted it, calling GW and stating that he'd had a *lot* of complaints..

Owner related that there was hemming and hawing on the other end of the phone, something to the affect "We know. We're working on it."

Granted, it's new and not long tested, but sheesh. Across-the-pond, haven't they heard of Quality Control? R&D?

you do know they are made in the US as well? over here we have about 5 of the machines for making sprues etc... and over there you have 2, i think, so don't go blaming it all on us. we were too busy having our afternoon tea and crumpets to worry about such things

I've got 3 toolchests of Nids to pack up, plus an extra 3" foam tray of delicates, plus the spores that won't fit anywhere.
That I now have a toolchest devoted entirely to stuff I have to put away/swap out when kids walk in the store makes me very happy indeed.

Hopefully, I will return home with new trophies, either models or dice, in addition to a whole bunch of new conversion stock.

I'd heard the price disparity was bad, but damn. Is that even legal? Thats a 4x markup.
If I resold GW models like they resell Kneadatite Blue/Yellow, it would work like this:
I buy a box of gargoyles for 30 bucks, making them $2.50 each. I then resell them individually in blisters for $10, trying to hide a massive boner.

Anyway, I'm off to play 9 hours of 40k. Since I bring all my models and 6 lists, I usually let my opponent choose the list, or at least roll it off.

Hmm. I buy three foot rolls of GS from thetrolltrader on eBay for about £7GBP a go. Never bothered weighing them to see how much stuff you get, it's clearly way cheaper than GW.

HEY! Even the Buffalo Bill's need love too and it's not a penis, it's something I can't fully explain without having the MODs come knocking on my door.

And, yes, it's cool. I made the Teams [NSFW] sigs for everyone who supports these sort of threads. It's actually been surprising how many people ask me for permission to use them. I've noticed with some people it's almost like a badge of honor (looking at you lindsay40k. )

Game night was pretty epic. I'm gonna post a batrep in the appropriate spot with full details, but I'm also posting some here because I'm a dirty rule breaker.
In my excitement, I failed to trade for models. AND bought GW brand GS. Fail.
But the wins were also fairly spectacular. 2500 points of nids vs Black Templar resulted in a bottom of turn 4 tabling, massive victory for 60 genestealers.
Game two took most of the night, my first battle against GK of any kind in a 2000 GK + 2000 IG vs 4000 full force org Nids. I held everything in reserve, and they spread out across the board. I was very confident in my victory until I learned what Purifiers do. Still managed to squeak out a victory because of a tervigon that could not/ would not be stopped, and 6 hive guard that never seemed to miss. Small batches of objective takers that went largely unmolested, and holes in marbo, assassins, and tanks/ stormraven. Pretty decisive past that, especially considering 2 dreadnights got clowned by swarmlord+3lashwhip guard, and 20 genestealers rending 27 (holy gak) times.

Anyway, heres the only 3 pictures you need for the first game. I infiltrated 3 groups of 20 toxic genestealers plus broodlord after fear of these had caused him to be bunched up in the middle of the table, more than 18 inches away from table edges. That doesn't work when I infiltrate them 18 inches away anyway, and make a slag pile out of bunched units with 3 harpies. I'll let these pictures do the talking, then I'm off to watch netflix with the lady. In the pictures, please note that I used a trygon for my tervigon, and zoanthropes subbed in for venomthropes. My list was :
