Ok. So here is my Fighta so far. It's not amazing or anything but I have the basic shape I wanted and it's pretty good for just cardboard, balsa wood, and Masking tape.
I will paint the Masking tape with PVA glue and hopefully it will set hard like Papier-mâché so it can withstand being used.

Well here it is.

it looks a fraction small, but it shows potential if you decorate it and paint it.

yu should build some more that look basically the same so you can field them in a wing that overwhelms the much larger valkyries and thunderbolts with sheer numbers!

I thought it was a bit big at 18cm from end to end. It's by no means finished I've done the easy part, I still have to Add the accessories, the DAKKA and make it generally more Orky.
I just might make a couple more of these. This one was not difficult or expensive to make at all.

I love the shape.... it's soooo orky.....

Oh, my bad. Then throw me in the rok category! Actually, a question about that... I've read before that rokz are these really massive structures that orks use as a sort of instant HQ upon slamming into the planet, is that what you are considering it to be, or are you counting it as essentially a drop pod equivalent/just a big rok that causes a big explosion from the apoc reloaded data sheet?

Ork Roks are essentially orkified meteors/asteroids
Meteors and asteroids come in all shapes and sizes (meteors can be as small as a pebble!)
So I don't see why there can't be roks that are similar in size to a drop pod

in Space Marine roks that look about Valkyrie size slam into the ground and disgorge large squads of Orks for you to fight.

then small roks aren't only allowed, they are 'realistic ((in terms of 40K background, if Space Marine can be counted)

I imagine Orks WOULD use massive Roks as command centres and fortesses, but smaller drop pod-sized ones are more convenient for bringing in troops in the middle of a battle.

Matt, are you planning on doing another contest next year? If you do I hope you wait a couple months to start it, I already have decided what at least one of my projects will be and, If I don't manage to complete all 3 of my super heavies then the ones that have alot of work left will be entered too (if thats cool, i figure if I haven't come close to finishing them by the end May 2012 then I will pull them from this contest.)

I am currently thinking about changing my krawla entry to a second entry to the ''other" (Matt you still have not put me down in it for the battlefortress that I am working on, I am sure I've mentioned before)
changing the entry would give me more freedom to do whatever I feel like doing, I'm a Mek Boss at heart (well In my world I'm the most amazing person to have ever lived but that's a different story )

Cool! You wanna post pics of the finished comp entries in there, sort of like one huge Mekboss Waaagh!? It would be cool to use it as a competition showcase as well, in addition to just being a roster for participants.

I Removed my entry of Krawla and put myself down for 2 'other' vehicles, and made the list easier to navigate and look at.
