Been watching Highschool DxD, but given my preference for really odd comedies, that should be no surprise.
I remember when we first got the 'Space (the imagionation station)' channel, it played about 8 different animes on the weekends, Galaxy Express was one of them. They also showed Ninjia Scroll, Akira, The Fist of the North Star movie, Ghost in the Shell (the movie),Patlabour (the movie) naussicca and the valley of the wind, and I think the first appleseed movie ( the animeone not the cgi one).
Damn those where good times. They also showed Robotech for a while but pulled it due to bad raitings, as it was on here at 4am pacific time and 7am Easteren time what the hell did they expect?!!

Just finished Kamisama no Memochou. I'd recommend it to anyone that liked NHK or Death Note (Another Note), as those are the closest I can compare it to. It's only 12 episodes long though unless they make a new season.
Only PV I can find is boring and has no speech in it.

I just recently finished Ao No Exorcist! It was really good, but from what I've been told the manga goes in a completely different direction which probably means the anime won't get a second season.

I watched that before it was cool (to watch, it was awesome anyway)
Just finnished Last exile and the second season thats running now and is up to about ep 15. Good al steampuck stuff and who said flying battleships wasn't cool!
I've watched Heaven's lost propert, looking for HLP:Forte, I've finished FMP S1, looking for FMP: Second raid and have started ghost in the shell, which is quite good.
I like the scenic shots of sort of crazy things like that.

I think the first ever anime I saw, and I think still one of the best ever. There is a $100 model of the robot I saw, and am still trying to justify buying it
Anyone know a manga similar to Ghost in the Shell they could recommend? I've watched some of Standalone complex, but about half the episode seems to be the ending credits, and the music is so bloody terrible it's actually put me off watching the show!
If you haven't seen it,do make your business to watch it.
It's so well written and the dialogue is so moving, I actually got teary eyed during it.
The story is that mankind lives underground while the Beastmen and their giant robots rule the surface.
Two guys Simon and KAMINA, (Who always introduces himself with a long winded speech) both escape to the surface after they find a small robot and meet Yoko,a half naked freedom fighter from the surface.
Their victories with their small robot then lead to bigger victories untill they become a united rebel force.
Simon is the quite one, modest even though he's a real hero at heart. Kamina is loud, proud and inspiring, always giving speeches on the strenght of mankind and courage that drives mankind onwards. But the two together is the real gem,Kamina is the older brother figue to Simon, and they never let each other give up.
There is a few bad parts but nothing to put you off the show, like I said Yoko is the token fan service half naked girl, she is a strong character and you do take her seriously, but some people might it off putting.
Also alot of the side character don't really get much of an introduction, especially later when they get a big team overnight,we're expected to know these characters when they don't even get names. A shame because they have interesting personalities.
As said earlier, you MUST watch Gurren Lagann. My brother described it as having nearly every anime cliche somewhere in the series, and yet being made of pure condensed Awesome, which I think is a very apt description. I mean, how often do you get to see someone Punch a hole thru Time and Space!? Watch it! Watch it NOW!!
Just Who The Hell Do You Think I Am?!

Heeeyyy, I've got that game, although I've only really played the tutorial so far. I bought it off of ebay though and when I got the package found out that ACE:R is actually this:
Although I had absolutely no clue what it was. It took my stepdad to figure it out. "That's a wok ring." "A WHAT‽" "A wok ring." "Oh, sorry, I misheard you."
Anime, yeeeah. I watched some of Manyuu Hikenchou. The premise is: boob ninjas. It proceeds about how you'd expect.
Gurren Lagann might be just about my favorite anime. I concur that it must be seen.
