I just noticed something. How do you choose what stages to build up to? For example you've left the Halberd arm off, as well as the backpacks. Do you prefer doing them separately?

Either way, great work. White and grey are amazing colours when put together.

@WarbossDakka - Tough call, if you'd asked me that question 3 years ago I would have said I would keep bits separate to ensure all surfaces get paint. However now, I plan on assembling the whole model and paint only the bits that can be seen, in this case the models arm fell off so I'll glue it back on once I get to the last stage

Update: Reds started, only got about 20-30 mins of painting.

@Gits - Thanks, its a slow burn on these ones, being old metal some of the edges aren't as 'Crisp' as I would like it.

Update: Blades and some metals done

You have to give the old models some credit, those indents on the gun barrels are so much easier to drill. Anyway, they seem to be getting there, as usual the power weapons are looking fantastic.

@WarbossDakka - Yeah, as much as I complain about the edges, the design and over all aesthetic really speaks my language and my favourite models have to go to the GK metal Terminators.

@Cam - Nice to see I have some agreement on the looks

@Az - Thanks dude!

Update: Edge highlighting underway!

Don't know what it is with Space Marines, but I CANNOT for the life of me edge highlight the shoulder pads. The bottom curve gets me every time. Oh, and nice highlighting too

@WarbossDakka - Eh, don't look at me I fail a lot of the time as well, some of those curves just don't agree with my paint brush

@Casey - Oh yes, ready to warp in and take some names.

I forget, is that squad 987,436 or 987,437? And how long did it take them to get the twirl choreography down?

Seriously they look awesome, you really make me want to paint! There's just something about the cohesion of a well painted unit.

@Gits - Thank you!

@AoV - Ooh, thats a very useful option to do highlighting on shoulder pads, I wish I had known this earlier.

@Casey - At last must it was 567,987 we lost a large number in the purge of 2014, may they all rest in pieces.

Update: No rest for the wicked, onto the last interceptor squad

@WarbossDakka - Cheers, it seems to be a longer process than normal at the moment, not sure why that is.

@Casey - After these interceptors its either 10 Strike Marines, 5 Paladins or 5 Purifiers.

Update: Washes starting to be applied

I see you have kept up your solid pace and quality, great to see. Makes me wonder if I could be a bit more disciplined when it comes to sitting down and painting for smaller sessions, I find I end up doing one or two big sessions at the moment.
