The centre of a massive brood chamber, heaving and pulsating.
Actually looks pretty cool.
I for one enjoy redesigns and reinterpretations. This looks sufficiently different that it's new and original, but faithful enough that it's still TMNT. The body itself is pretty classic, it's just the outfit that;s been altered.
(Saying this, I only ever watched the 2003 reboot when I was a kid).

Do my eyes deceive me, or is Shredder in an exoskeleton?
Also... why do the turtles have such well defined ab-shells?
edit -
I just saw his cape- the Pontius lives! Capes are bad enough, but metal knife capes?

I am a TMNT fan from way back, and honestly I don't mind the new look of the turtles themselves, but the armor on Leo reminds me too much of the bad Samurai armor from Turtles III. Hopefully that isn't his standard kit and instead armor for a special battle or something.
Does anyone know if Casey Jones will be making an appearance in this movie?

I think Casey Jones has been confirmed not to appear in the film (don't worry, with all the moeny they saved on set design but just blowing everything up they're bound to make a sequel )
I remember going to see the first Turtles movie on opening night in 1990 and when Casey Jones first leapt out of the trees the entire theater audience shouted out "Casey!" in unison. It was a pretty neat moment and one that has stuck with me. That movie also made me a fan of Elias Koteas' work. Love that guy as a character actor.

Yes, no great issues with the interpretations here. I'm not Bay's greatest fan, but in respect of the original film, it's not like he's tampering with a classic. It was enjoyable enough at the time, but I doubt it's aged well.

Oddly enough we justWatched that with the kids about two weeks ago. Its a little cheesy but holds up rather well. Wouldn't call it a classic though.

Leo and Mike look fine to me, for the most part, Don is a hot mess (laser rifle, glasses, goggles and bandana? WTF, Bay?) and my favorite turtle is sporting a dew rag, bandana and sunglasses? Please, Michael Bay, just jump off a bridge. Let somebody with GOOD vision fix this abortion. You are an insult to humanity (and turtles). Oh, and take Miss Fox with you. We want an April O'Neil who is attractive AND can actually perform in front of a camera. It's kinda what she's supposed to do...
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.
