Still much more to do on this yet, and since I'm making this up as I go, suggestions/ideas are always welcome!
I have sort of ignored the firing of the furnace bit, with hopes that the rest of the model's pseudo-realism will compensate while the rule of cool still applies
@LDD- that is just wire wrapped around a piece of tubing, real springs would likely put too much pressure on glued stuff.

Un-Freaking-Believable Dave! Holy Cow! I could go one, but it would start to digress into self loathing and I would rather not go there right now.
I can't believe how workable it looks! You know, you are going to have build several of these. I see many Chirstmas presents for -=]_,=- members in the future!
I want to alter my suggestion from before, for the driver, yes, a victorian style seat back, but make it a skinny one, like below, and it will not only fit the coat better, but give it a reason for flaring out as it does.
Just wow. Keep up the amazing work Dave. I can't wait to see what is next!

if you do the vickers for a gun...will it be drum fed or belt fed? i would love to see you do the belt fed version...as a little gem to draw some attention away from the driver for a sec^^

i have read that some peeps did make rivets with copper tubes...they sharpened the rim and then used it in your manner... with bigger tubes and then sharpened rims you could choose what size you want maybe?
and i would love to see you do individual bullets on these belts...what kind of material would you use for making the actual belt? thin PC? what about texture? i bet you could also use zinge belts, but these then would look a bit more modern...
Oh No! I'm using Zinge Belts for sure...Once you get your hands on some of them vik, you'll realize how superior they are! The copper rivetmaker is a great idea! I keep 1/16" copper tubing and brass rod around, but not much else metal-wise...hmmm

oh i have a bunch of zinge stuff waiting to be used already...and i do know it is excellent stuff!...one of my oh so many future projects was to make a tesla tank...his tesla coils are just so freaking cool looking!

Yep, Zinge makes some great things..I changed my mind and went with a different ammo belt of his, this one resembles the pointy Vickers rounds better IMHO ..And built the ammo boxes

Thanks Marty! I was scrounging for rectangle tubing the right size for ammo boxes, when I found these clear caps from the Raboesch styrene containers!- Just cut a little angle and made a rack to hold it I saved a bunch of them
