Is this fact? Using GW AB with a compressor = win
@ diablobats Pipe down! We know it's not a professional AB. It's use is for basecoating and simple foundation painting.....quickly.

Yeah you can hook it up to an airgun, the guy at my local FLGS had an the spray gun when it almost came out the first time cause the district manager was visiting for an event and they had it hooked up to this tiny little compressor, they were using it to basecoat marines after priming.

yeah,
Last night my spray gun connecting cap broke/failed...
It was leaking air from either the worn out thread on the air canister cap or the air canister cap seal gave out... I think more air was leaking from the cap than spraying from the gun... not good...
this was only my third time screwing a air canister onto the cap... not good...
I sorta knew the threads weren't perfect when i put the first air can on but it held tight. see above post ^^somewhere^^
but all things concidered now (with hindsight) it seems like a bad choice of materials, plastic threads to metal screw.
I guess this early failure kinda tarnishes the product somewhat, although maybe I got a bad one......
I took it to GW bromley today and they replaced it with out a receipt... (i bought mine from the online store)
As long as I can keep exchanging broken caps for new ones I don't care..
I'll keep you guys posted on spray gun number 2...
Panic...
Edit:
Ok second gun seems ok, although trigger seems to stick a little...
Cost analysis:
I sprayed in total 2 vindicators two landraiders and two preditors.. plus about 8 extra weapons.
This used in total 2 and half cans of air (£12.50 ish), and three pots of foundation paint (£6.75)... so the cost to under coat with the spray gun worked out at £19.25 for 6 tanks... or £3.20ish a tank...
which is a bit expensive really... I think the Air is the killing factor... maybe a compressor would prove to be a good investment...

I bought a spray gun from my local gaming store yesterday and i managed to spray a land raider with it before it broke, It was just blasting air out and it simply wouldn't work. So i rang up the GW shop i bought it from and he said he'd be happy to replace it.
But here is the land raider i managed to spray before it broke and i must say i'm very impressed with this gun (when it works)
Base coat of mechnite red with the gun, black washed by hand then used the gun to spray blood red on top.

I had two friends who purchased them previously and both ended up returning them. They later bought ones with compressors for a similar price after doing some research. Just something to consider.

Ok, in case some of you haven't figured it out yet, any hobby supply that has the GW logo on it is overpriced.
No hobby supply they make is priced competitively with similar hobby supplies made by non-gaming related hobby companies, and usually is of no better (and often worse) quality. They get you to buy it by placing it conveniently right next to their GW models and game supplies so you don't think about it before picking it up.
You can get better/cheaper paints and brushes at an art supply store.
You can get better/cheaper air brushes at places like Hobby Town, USA.
You can get better/cheaper glues and epoxy putties at generic hobby stores or home supply stores.
Please do little leg work yourselves so that you know I'm not being a "hater" against GW; their hobby stuff is just plain overpriced. For a concrete example, GW paints are approximately six times as expensive as the acrylic paints you can get at Michael's, and I actually prefer the art store paints' appearance.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k. Rule #1 - BBAP
