My first was a comissar on jetbike and the hard plastic Genestealer Hybrid Rough Rider box.

@ HBMC- Advanced Space Crusade mini box.

my first box was one of the old epic boxes that was 8inches across 4 inches high and 4 inches deep. Side of the box said it came with over 400 minis....I didn't take the time to reason out that no way in hell could 400 40k minis fit in the box, Bought it anyways and had 400 minis for epic (1cm high mostly).

I did use the 12-stompas as Ork-bots since they were 26mm. Along with a ball of putty poorly scuplted into a ptera-squirrel as it was all the points I had left over for the micronaught orks.

My first model? SM Terminator and Ork Nob of Assault of Black Reach, who came on White Dwarf September of last year.

My first model was a necron immortal, i still have it around here somewhere.

My First Model was a space marine with a bolter from the 3 edition set ill post a pic as soon as i find it again

first models were dark eldar warriors.

Good ole' Gimli from Mines of moria. My first ever 40k figure was a bloodcrusher.

My first models were DAs bought from hobbycraft. I painted them red at first! (yes, what was i thinking) but i soon repainted them blue.

My technical first models were from Black Reach, but I've since sold those off and gotten a Chaos army. I've started painting the regular CSM first, black primary color, purple trim, and silver/gold where appropriate. Still have to get some of the basics of painting down though. XD

First mini:

Mixure of AoBR and a Dire Avengers squad first minis I painted and I painted them at the same time in March. This March.

Starter box 3rd ed.
First single model was Haemonculus.

My first model ever was a Tau firewarrior, as I thought they were humans. I still have him, though my father is going to use him in his army when he gets to it.

Back in the true time of C: CSM, I painted up and build Iron Warriors. It was a choice between them and Night Lords and the awesome helms swayed me.

My first was a pair of RT plastic marines, as they came two to a sprue back then.

My first mini was a wizard from the D&D box set from 2nd ed. 1 was 8 years old (1987) that mini has long since whent <poof> my first GW mini was in 2001 a squad of beast men i still have them but never did get any more, one day maybe, i would put up pics but my camera sucks,( ya real bad.)

Mines was a King Tiger tank

Well, I purchased my first model many years before I seriously started collecting Warhammer. It is a Space Marine Captain, equipped simply with a bolter and nothing else (except a raised fist - unpowered however). He's helmetless, too. Bought it in the middle of 90s and it is described as "(c) GW 1990", so Im not even sure whether it is a 2nd edition or Rogue Trader era model.

Never found a picture of him online, which buggers me. :(

Just WOW! This is first time I see him elsewhere than in mine collection.

Nice to find out he is a veteran, too.

So what edition he actually is?

He's from late Rogue Trader, as 2nd edition came out in 93.

Those definately have some kind of special aura around them Pity I use him as a tactical sergeant instead of captaine, though :( (he really lacks the power weapon!)

Ok I got off my bum and took a picture of my first ever painted mini. He USED to have a 2nd edition captains cape backpack, but that has since become missing lol. Anywho, enjoy the blinding awefulness

And those old metal capes held terribly bad, no wonder it got lost

My first was the Space Marine bike squad (that's still available, lol!) It was just around the end of 2nd ed. Can't find any of them at the moment to take a photo :(

Hell yea they did. That was obviously before I learned of the miracles of pinning Still might not of held that well those, they were just poorly made. Also I wouldnt say I have balls to post my old stuff. I think Im a pretty decent painter, and am comfortable showing my progress from then to now.

Man mine was the Catachan Captain, he had a Power Fist raised in the air with a bolt gun in his hand and a backpack, that's a great model, i loved taking an all Devil army.

My first models were a SM combat squad and Chapter Master. I stuffed up building my chapter masters body and it's still stuffed.
