About to eat your Avatar...

Didn't this thread happen like a few weeks ago?

I seem to still be missing the reason of this, some chick screamed bloody moida' through a blog, and this is news?

Ok...

I do want to see the original link, but it is still locked up, and for some reason people are still talking about it...

A new day, a new time zone.

Isn't that what that table in the BRB is for? Roll a 4+ and it's 'kill them unto death.' Roll under that and it's 'most vile penetrations of their physical person,'

The son depressed and on all manner of drugs, but no, it was the evil devil worship of D&D that made him kill himself.

Don't forget that his mom named him, 'Bink.' (well, actually Irving, but that's not much better than his nickname)

Anyway, the rest of my D&D coven and I, along with the efforts of our nationwide web of satanic contacts, were most vigorous in cursing her, which was obviously came to fruition when she died of cancer about ten years ago (because the only way to get cancer is through D&D coven curses, donchaknow?)

No joke.

Say WHAT?

I don't know about hearts, but it's pretty obvious someone writing the dialogue had a hell of a tin ear.

You'd think the DM would've let her role a percentile at least instead of unilaterally offing her. Why doesn't her friend cut her down, she's still swinging? And that DM is way too hot and thin to be playing D&D. That cartoon is the fantasy.

On an aside, was Tom Hanks in an anti-D&D/roleplaying made for TV movie in the early 80s? Like '82 ish?

This post is awesome, and you should feel awesome.

Cheers, bud.

So church got me into Warhammer for sure. I wonder if that's why I like playing Daemonhunters... and why I am so scared of playing against Daemons? (I only mention that he was a police officer b/c he said police in central NJ had found a group of teenagers battling it out in some dark alley somewhere with chainmail & swords.)

LOL
Tell me about it.
I've been married 13 years. Shortly after I met my wife, her father (a nearly retired Arson Investigator) found out I played D&D.
God, how he filled her ears full of cr@p about the game. Some of the most absurd stuff I ever heard.
She was a little concerned, until I had the Friday night game at her place. At that point, she realized that it was nothing more than a geek-fest.

For Christs sake, nobody tell her that in Rogue Trader, it was heavily implied that the Emperor had been posing as various Religious Leaders, Prophets and Messiahs for a long old time....

I don't think her feeble cranium could resist exploding in self righteousness.
