I think so lol

Im glad I never bought dreds now. A couple of those on a table will be AWESOME!

yeah,
I like the old Ork DeffDreds too. I have just put together my second, and It was a pain in the ass to assemble.
If these are Plastic I think I'll buy three to have a alternative list with 5 DeffDreds. The metal ones can be the troops choice DeffDreds.
I'm excited to see all the extra plastic bits so that I can customise my metal Dreads and 9 Kans, so they look more adhoc and less uniform, hopefully some cool extra grots too!

If these are Metal I'll probabily pass...

GW has finally entered the area of plastic miniatures.
I hope that other metal miniatures get an overhaul, too.

Plastic deff dreads and killa kans for next your. A friend who works security told me today he is starting a new ork army specifically to be ready for when they come out some point early in the year.

I believe and trust him, but have no more proof then that I'm afraid!

My comments are my own, and mine own alone. If you have any complaints, please report to Mr Spanky who will take them down for you.....

I just bought three kanz off ebay to give them the "segway" treatment. Soon as my extra missiles and rockets come in, I'll be good to go.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Friend of mine still has 3 Ork Dreads NIB's that he got during the first Apoc release. He also has another three Ork Dreads already built, and having watching re-construct two of them just recently after they self-destructed, I know he's very happy with the prospect of a plastic Dread.

He also wants to try and get some more plastic arms to combine with the metal bodies of the existing dreads, as they'll be slightly less breakable tham the metal ones.

If we get new deff dreads and kanz then I'm dropping all projects to put together a mean Kan wall army; complete with a shiny stompa that I'll probably never get to use in a game...

I'd like to get six plastic Killa Kanz for my competitive Ork army.

Maybe it'll be like it was back in Rogue Trader, when a Kan was really just a Dreadnought without the extra set of limbs. So the plastic kit could allow you to assemble a Killer Kan or a Deff Dred.

Now that would be nice that way I would have extra arms for paint pot killa kans.

They'll be the Azhag of 40K! $70 ea. for shiny shiny awesome models!

The model is tempting. Very, very tempting. That it's likely metal has reduced some of the temptation, but much still remains.

If that model is metal I'll eat my own hat. The era of metal vehicles and hybrid kits is long gone.

Simply because a KK is noticeably smaller then a dred. But, seeing as GW seems to like giving us a crap ton of extras lately (hey a smart move on their part, go figure!) youll probably be able to make more then a few kk from the bitz left over. Im really excited about these being released, the modelling possibilities are just making my mekboy brain squirm!

Yeah, KK's are smaller than Dreads.
In competitive play you might not take Dreads as KK's simply because a Dread provides a larger shield for the units behind.

If these rumours are true, and it is a new Dread, along with the rumoured Buggies my Orc's may see the light of day again.
Heres hoping
though looking at the state of them I may start again.

Don't worry, it's a new Dread. The image on GW's site labels it as such.

Deffdreads make me happy, because where the Deffdreads go, Kans soon follow, and I need some plastic Kans for a Kan wall.

I'd like to play a Kan wall too, but not with those crappy metal Kanz.

Exactly. Which is why this is good news, despite my non-use of the Dreads.

Deff Dreads are not very often seen in competitive games.
GW would make more money with the Kanz.
