GOOD MERCIFUL CRAP
the preceding statement applies to-
A - Your vehicles are insane, one can only admire the industrious nature of working and designing such large pieces. Your assault shuttle should be my Storm Raven BTW lol! I really love that you didnt just mash the valk backwards with a LR hull. The thing that bugs me about most SR conversions is that people leave the wings tilted at the default angle on the struts, I LOVE that your wings are straight!
B - The painstcheme on the exarch is excellent, I don't recall seeing a black nmm style application before. Not one that remained looking black anyways lol .
C - The oven disaster. I suffered a huge model mishap myself this year, I can imagine after getting it so far along seeing that hole in it must have been rage inducing. You clearly have the talent to fix it though, and if not, BEST TERRAIN EVAR lol!
Amazing, thanks for sharing!

Have no fear, shematics exist.. after a fashion.. but the Mechanicum forgets nothing! we do however not share much data.. Automatically Appended Next Post: Right.. Updates will probably be down this week, I have had an unexpected development in the form of a pile of frames with variousDark Eldar on them that needs assembling and painting ASAP.
But as soon as I am done with the filthy xenos and their impure techno-sorcery work will continue on the blessed machines of the most holy mechanicum.

Update Time!
Things are comming together nicely now that those pesky Dark Eldar modles are almost done. (don't get me started on the raider, all that negative space and perforated decking means you have to paint all the parts and then, only then put it together.. bleh.)
so without further prattle there will now be pictures, pictures and.. some more pictures.
Soon in the skies of the forty-first millennium, transforming your friends to rapidly expanding clouds of steam...
Adding detail at the moment, vents, sensors and random funny bits.
Same as above but on the other side, the etched brass is from GW's 40k basing kit.
Adding thin plasticard to the hull to create a little texture to bind the model together nicely, poor picture though since the ink pen i used to mark up the pieces smeared a little
but you should be able to get the basics anyway
Now, about the Ordinatus Engine; I havn't simply had the time to put more work on it but as I was looking through earlier posts I came to the conclusion that I needed at least
put up some close-ups of the rear areas for you to see.
and the other side.
And now, for something completely different:
I put down the final brushstrokes on this little thing last week, wich for those who wonder the Chaptermaster for my Black Templar army.
And yes, i know.. I do not use the standard colours for the BT, I just liked this one better and since when I was painting this army I knew that the next where a Raven Guard
army so I did not want to paint two black SM armies in a row.
All kinds of feedback on everything would be nice.
While i am at it I'll throw up these too, a slightly converted Captain Korvydae and dreadnought for my RG army.
but are still WIP's but it's just minor details and the finishing touches on the bases left.

I love the back of the Ordinatus. Looks very grim dark!
Nice "black" templar marhsall (they don't follow the codex astartes so no chapter master, sorry just had to say that). I recgonise the Emperor's Champion black sword, but what are the other parts of him?
I love the Raven guard, very good, I love FW dreads.
Nice little details on the assult shuttle, looks good!

Great stuff here. I love your flyer that you are building, looks like the love child of a valk and a thunderhawk lol.
I like the most part of your super heavy although one part i did not was where the huge cannon was placed, it just seemed to me as though it was sticking out the front of a building. Perhaps use the chance now it needs rebuilding to re-model a proper mantel and housing to make it all gel a bit better?
*edit* maybe add some pistons and movement mechanisms like on the bassi?
anyways good work all round, hope to see more

Tank you for the kind words.
@ Commissar Agro; the body is the Sicarius model with the ultramarines symbols removed and replaces with aquilas or skulls, the head, left arm and backpack is from the pedro kantor model and the swordhand from the emperor's champion model.
They all fit together quite nicely and only a little cutting and filing as needed to produce a tight fit of the parts so no greenstuff was needed to fill any gaps.

Random Pic post!
well.. just one.. damn xenos thing has been keeping me away from the machines of the blessed mechanicum.. but as soon as I am finished with it's vile crew it is out! out I tell you!
Through the door!
The dark eldar plastics are pretty, but a bit tricky to paint.
they are also a complete nightmare when you are handed a box of frames with a cheery 'here you go, good luck' without an assembly guide.. took a while to identify what parts went where and what had to be painted before assembly.. quite a lot was the answer.. quite a lot.
However the quality of the plastic is nothing short of amazing, everything is a snug fit, beautiful details and loads of extra bits.
So for a first review the denizens of the dark city are lovely, absolutly amazingly lovely, but I would however say that because of the level of detail they are not a forgiving army for people that has not mastered a certain range of painting techn.. *sigh* ah to hell with it.. if you aren't good painters then don't bother.. you will just be dissapointed.
I am not saying this out of malice but as a warning because i think that people might feel that they have thrown away their money on something that they in the end are dissatisfied with and end up selling on Ebay for less than what they bought them for.
This is not a model range that will play well with our friends; Dip and Drybrush I am afraid.

Now, i have been a bit lazy with updates but it is quite simply because there is not so much to report on.
work progresses but is just little texture stuff like drilling small holes to emulate the valkyrie plastic parts on the 'white' plastic, adding little silly things that just makes it come together as a whole but are not individually meaningful.
I will not bore you with pictures of that damn lander that you have seen a million times but now with an additional 50 barely visable holes and a few additional armored cables, because it is pointless and above all not really interesting for you.
But at this rate I will probably start painting it some time next week.
So to keep you happy and build on the whimsical randomness I'll tease you with a photo from my work in progress eldar army (started it back in 97.. still not finished ><
so.. one little fireprism is all you get... for now.
Now, this is a chaos sorcerer I built out of stuff from my bitbox to try out a colourscheme for the army.
However it is a mothballed project that has been put in cold storage with the comming of the presend Codex: CSM wich I quickly developed a deep loathing for.. the previous one was perfect! talk about fixing that wich was not brken and in the prosess making complete crap out of the resulting product.
Hopefully they will get it right the next time.
I am still a little unsure on these colours though, you goys got any thoughts or ideas?

Thank you, it's not that hard really and having a strong lightsource helps when painting metal to keep the highlights in the right spot.
Alos having reference matereial when you paint is a great help, pictures of chromed stuff is usually the best since it gives you the extreme end of mirroring and clear references is much much better than subtle ones.

Well, i have been a lazy cat and not been working awfully much on the original projects.. been painting painting..
so.. I thought I'd share some DE pics with you, the raider is almost done with just a gunner and 2 crewmen left to paint and once done with those i got 3 reaver jetbikes to put some paint on too.
So, the raider.. sorry about the poor quality of the pictures but I don't have any special lightsource or a tripod for the camera and my hand is not the steadiest in the world.
the almost done crew and gun.
Thoughts and feedback on the painting is most welcome.

I will put some paint on the shuttle / (hopeful stormraven, jeez.. I have been getting petitions for commisions on this one in droves.. people don't seem to like the 'landraider with a crashed valkyrie on top' type all that much..) probably somewhere around thursday next week when I have finished the DE Reavers.

You may suggest more corpses stuck on the sides, beneath or even on the mainsail.
However i am not at liberty to convert it since it is intended to be a displaymodel for a store and it will be abit confusing if I start converting victims slung to the hull, people might think it is included in the raider box etc. and that is fallout I don't need.
So it's box contents only I am afraid.
