That thing is insane, I cannot believe you scratch built that thing from metal! It really is just amazing! Well done mate, one of the best scratch builds I've seen! Can't wait to see it painted

It lets you make clean, straight bends, which makes the fitting and assembly much easier (and the final look cleaner). I will try to take a picture of it and post so you can see the tool I am referring to. A small anvil and a tinker's hammer help a lot too.

Sorry to disappoint but she's not getting painted, just clear coated after I finish the brass. Decided I like the look of the bare metal and brass too much to cover it up.

Here are the promised pictures of the break.
This is with it open, with a sheet of brass inserted for illustration.
And this is in its 'folded' position. The only thing not shown are the clamps to hold the top bar that holds the metal and gives the clean fold.
