Then you are lucky. The English Wikipedia doesn't even list the original word Elysion (Greek), only the Latin translation

Yes, that is well-established. But I'm not sure if they are as close with Adpetus Mechanicus as the Iron Hands or employ as many bionics. The creed of Ferrus Mannus was "always be stronger and stronger" not necessarily "replace all your squishy bits with metal ones"--maybe that's just the direction the Iron Hands themselves took it. Someone can correct me if this is wrong, but I do not think they are one of the Chapters spoken about in detail in IA9.

Sons of Medusa aren't covered in IA9, they are lined up for IA10 as they were deployed in the second half of the war.

According to many, either way we lose.

Pah! I was writing a message really early
I meant Kastorel-Novem. I had it right the first time, should have just kept it like that.
Either way:
Kastorel-Novem was slated to be a 2 parter and scrapped for the bloody Badab War. It's disappointing to me that something that had such promise and an interesting premise(the Imperium actually on the offensive? Glorious!) was canned to do something so bland and boring as a Marine rebellion.

IA3 had them replying to a world that seceded and was occupied by the Tau.
Not really "on the offensive", same case with IA5--world seceded and was occupied by an enemy.

Yeah, damn. A generic Imperium-vs-Xenos campaign was scrapped for the most significant Astartes related moment since the Horus Heresy. Why couldn't we have more generic boring Imperium campaigns!

Sorry, what was generic about Kastorel-Novem?
The Elysians and Raven Guard launching surgical strikes against an Ork Mekboss on an Ork held planet? Yeah, that seems so generic...
And there's hardly anything "significant" about the Badab War. It didn't redefine anything about the Astartes as a whole, just the Astral Claws and a few other Chapters.

Guess you haven't read the book then.
Taros just had secret trade relationships with the Tau, no secession or occupation when the Imperium decided on the attack.
Wasn't even occupied during the fighting, Tau just had an army to counter the attack.
After that it became part of the Tau Empire IIRC, as it wasn't safe without allies anymore.

And you're accusing me of not reading the book?
During the Imperium's first strike against Taros(where they didn't manage to kill the planetary governor with a strike force of Astartes from the Avenging Sons Chapter), the Tau had a full Cadre planetside.
When the Tau fought off that, that's when Taros seceded and was claimed by the Tau. Who further shored it up with a full occupying force of something like 3-4 Cadres. From there is where we had that full-on Imperial force of the Raptors, Titans, Elysians/Cadians, etc.

I just want Kastorel-Novem finished in a more conclusive manner. It was nice seeing something that wasn't just an all-out slugfest.
If Squat/Sister players can get away with the same kind of stubbornness, why can't I?
