Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

Erasoketa wrote:Arnold Swarzenegger – Has an Ultramarines diorama at home.

A life age of the earth ago, when I was younger, he was not the guvenator yet, I walked in different circles, ate at the Capitol Hill GOP club and rubbed shoulders with the influential and powerful - I met Arnold and spent a couple weeks stumping for him. At the time I didn't play miniature wargames, had priorly been enlisted in the Army, and was currently a cadet at West Point. There was a GW store (or maybe it was a FLGS?) in both D.C. and NY that I stopped into whenever I had the chance; one of them (NY) had a life-sized gigantic space marine that always compelled me to go in and the one in D.C. had some amazing artwork up on the walls.

And then I realized that this is probably not interesting to anyone except me. Whether he still has them or not, he bought his first models with me. It took me another 7 years to get into the hobby.

You would think Arnold's first models would have been termi-I mean Necrons

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Can't forget Corpsegrinder, singer of Cannibal Corpse. He's a HUGE WoW addict. Here's the legendary pre-BC interview:

It was a box of (not joking) Terminators and a box of space marines.

It is/was the GW store in the Pallisades Mall by West Point.

Video games hardly count as wargames, or RPGs in general. If you want real metal playing real games, check out 3 Inches of Blood. When they were interviewed by Dragon magazine (in its last dying breaths), they said they will not put video games in their bus. Rather, they roll up new characters and play a campaign straight through their tour schedule.

True. I put it in anyway because it's a pretty funny video, the fact that Cannibal Corpse is addicted as millions of others, and MMO gaming is kind of generically seen as a fringe activity of nerds.

I remember a rumour pre-internet days that Arnie was going to star in a 40k movie

Brian May has been hanging around GW for years, they used to have pictures of him occassionally in WD.

You have to think that Robin Williams could run the most incredible intro-games in a GW store, no wonder he managed to get Kirsten Dunst playing

Any snippets if James May plays 40k? It'd be quite nice to know amongst his favourite creative toys he has 40k on his list
