I went black for my muyib rifles. Not because they're particularly special weapons, but just because the muyib are specialist troops so might be issued slightly newer/nicer guns.... And because I'm not very good at painting wood.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Actually, I went black with my ghulam too. This was mostly for quickness though.

The Hawwa sniper looks awesome. I'd say wood for the Muyib.

I like your Haqqs, too. When I started Infinity I thought they would be a bit boring, but now they are getting more and more interesting...

So I've had a massive break from doing much hobbying. Basically I moved out of my old house while my new house was being built and was staying with my soon to be in-laws. They have a thing about this stuff. They think the paints and such are toxic or something, and so all hobbying was put on hold for a massive 6+ months.

I've just now started to get back into it, now that I've at least partially settled in my new house. Mostly simple stuff, building models. I've put together some Tyranids I've had lying around for about 3 years - some Shrikes (lashwhip/bonwsword arms not shown) and my Heirophant sans arms. These are phone pictures, so they're not very good.

I have done some painting though - I've started my AP Rifle Jannisary and done some work on my Tervigon and some Termagants (which I didn't get a picture of.

Also built Tarik Mantag a better base.

First finished model in over 6 months - Jannisary.

Also built a base for my Maghariba Guard pilot, since I want to use it and the stock display base didn't fit my base theme.

That Janissary looks slick. Nice and clean, and the colors look flat but rich. Great job chief.

Put the finishing touches on my Muyib HRL tonight.

Here he is hanging out with one of his Muyib buddies.

I really like the green you did for their body armor. The HRL Muyib is probably my second favorite, right behind the guy with the DEP, since he looks like he has no ****'s to give. All the Muyips have great posing I think, and they're fun models to paint (and use!).

Good work chief.

I have once again forgotten about this thread and neglected it. I've been pretty busy (for me) lately on my hobby stuff. So, pictures.

First up, Sekban. Heavy Rocket Launcher and AP rifle.

Not too happy with them. Something feels off to me, but I'll leave them and keep the scheme for the rest of the link.

Hassassins. First up, Hassassin Barid.

Fairly happy with him. I even spent some time picking out details I usually done, like strap buckles.

Muyib LGL.

Happy with him too. Looks like my other Muyibs, which is all I want when finishing up a link team. Only 1 more to go.

Fiday.

This one gave me trouble, notably the hair and spider veins on the legs. But I do like the end result after some deliberation.

As a change of pace - the start of my Malifaux collection!

I'll be sticking pretty close to the official colours, since I like them a lot.

In my most productive weekend of painting in memory, I got the three Terror Tots done from basecoat to dullcote and blood effects.

So, after a brief hiatus from painting Infinity to get some Malifaux done, I got back to the Hassassins and finished my last Muyib.

Muyib with DEP (still needs to be dullcoted and get grass tufts)

Muyib link team (my first completed link!)

Came here from the what are you doing today thread. Love your Haqqislam mate. About to start my own so will be borrowing/stealing some ideas from you. I plan to use a little less green and more tan than you depending on how it turns out.

Have you been using dip on these? You might have said already but I mostly have been looking at the images.

No, I use Army Painter Strong Tone Ink, from their paints range, not their dip range. It is exactly the same as old GW Devlan Mud. Prime grey, block in the colours, wash the whole model with Strong Tone Ink, then re-layer the colours and highlight.

My poor, neglected thread.

Okay, some bad phone camera photos, but 3rd old rifle Ghulam done. I didn't spend much time on her, it's an old, dated model that I wanted painted simply for completion sake.

Here's all of the old Ghulam hanging out.

I also finished my Spitfire Asawira.

Thanks guys.

For a change of pace, some more Malifaux stuff. Had a bit of trouble getting faces to focus though.

Finished Barbaros. This guy is pretty hard to get a photo of without a proper light box. His wings and sword just excel at blocking light.

The Cherub. This guy was a lot of fun to paint. He's basically an evil Cupid.

Almost finished Young Nephilim. needs a couple of coats of Dullcote, then some added gore.

WIP Lilith. She needs her sword finished, Dullcote and gore.

So much cool stuff since I last visited! Those Haqq are just so right and everything else is pushing my buttons too. You don't get nearly enough replies here, man.

To be fair, I'm a glacially slow painter. This has been super fast for me. I don't update much.

After taking these photos, I managed to drop the Cherub and snap him at the bottom of his wing. Looks like tonight I'm going some repairs.

Once I have the new Ghulam and they're painted, sure. So far I only have the new Doctor.

Huh, for some reason I thought you had the newer styled Ghulam.

I plan to, so if I ever do SpamIslam, I can have two groups of Ghulam visually distinct from each other for different combat groups.
