I think we would be FUBAR'ed before we even realised.
All of the answers so far is if we realised that we were being invaded by....... genestealers
All i can imagine is stories coming out about mysterious sightings and strange behaviour, followed by 40k gamers thinking "hold the phone!!!!! Holy S*** thats a genestealer"
How credible would 40k gamers be when they went with a plea to the most relevant government saying we had been invaded by REAL genestealers from our tabletop minuture game

I'm not sure exactly how many of those categories I fit into... Seriously though who got the idea genestealers are hard to kill? Hard to HIT maybe, as I'll give ya they're fast, but their armor saves suck and AKs will drop them with little trouble. I agree we'd probably be screwed from the secret infiltration, but if it came to open fights with armed troops genestealers loose badly

They have weak armor Because bolters are rapid fire grenade launchers. Las guns are godlike compared to what we own now and they are ap-. even the might shotgun is ap-. Check out just how advanced the flamthrower is. It's super napalm, not some hair spray and a lighter.
And whilst you're pointing and shouting at the boogeyman in the corner, you're missing the burglar coming in through the window.
Well, Duh! Because they had a giant Mining ship. If you had a giant mining ship you would drill holes in everything too, before you'd destory it with a black hole

Yeah, Bolters are able to kill GS easily because they shoot rocket propelled superdense exploding ammunition. We don't have much of anything that could compare, honestly.
Plus, the military couldn't react instantly. It would take a while before they could properly mobilize, and by then, we would be screwed.

Not sure if you realize this, but those flamers are almost identical to modern flame-throwers. One of the key ingredients in the fuel for flame-throwers is petrol, with promethium as a fuel thickener. They fire stream of burning liquid, and can hit targets 150m away. You can bounce the stream off walls for bunker killers. You can destroy A.P.Cs with them. Because of their range, there are marksmanship badges for them in almost all nations that use them.
They wouldn't attack. there would be at least 3 5 Billion hybrids and all the would leaders would be a Genestealer Magus. Read up on how genestealers take over worlds, there is no violence until it's way too lake to matter.
